Founded in Copenhagen in 2019, Legacy is a purpose-driven start-up helping commercial real estate owners calculate their CO2 emissions through digitalisation, automation, and user-friendly design. As the real estate business is a dirty one - accountable for almost 18% of global emissions alone - we believe it represents an exciting opportunity to create real impact. Sustainary

At Sustainary, we believe that human development is deeply interconnected with the environment and is essential in the fight against climate change. That is why we are dedicated to building a more open, inclusive and sustainable Denmark for future generations, with young people at the heart of our efforts. Through capacity-building projects focused on youth, we empower individuals to shape a future where people and nature thrive together. Since 2018, we have been designing and implementing high-impact initiatives that address both human development and environmental challenges, strengthening communities, organizations, and society in the pursuit of a greener and inclusive Denmark. With collaboration at the core of our approach, we work closely with private companies, public organizations and NGOs to amplify our impact. Sustainia

Sustainia is a global sustainability advisory firm, headquartered in Copenhagen. Since 2009, the mission of Sustainia has been to simplify sustainability. As one of our signature projects, Sustainia operates with United Nations Global Compact the world's largest platform for vetted & verified sustainable solutions, the Global Opportunity Explorer. Armed with mindsets and methodologies, strategies and solutions, Sustainia advises organisations on how to create enduring sustainability transformations required in order to stay relevant in an ever-changing world.

Rope Robotics

Rope Robotics is the developer and producer of an automatic BR-8 robot to be used as a unique repair solution for leading edges on turbine blades. Wind turbine blades need to be repaired to maintain their high performance. With manual labor turbine blades can only be repaired 20% of the time during a year due to the fact that it requires technicians to climb up with support from ropes. Using our robot to do the repair and maintenance work in the heights, we are going to expand this repair window and to improve the working environment for the technicians. We have several robot pilots in the pipeline in various places around the world and have received major funding from the EU and Danish Government.

Danish Social Innovation Club (DANSIC)

Danish Social Innovation Club (DANSIC) is Denmark's largest platform for social innovation. It is a voluntary non-profit organization run by ambitious Danish and international students which aids and inspires different actors in society, with social innovation methods and interdisciplinary work. We work to solve some of the greatest current societal challenges. Our mission is to create a society that is socially, environmentally and economically sustainable. DANSIC is supported by an Advisory Board of leading individuals and organizations in the fields of social innovation and entrepreneurship, and receive aid from sponsors and funds. DANSIC holds an annual event where different actors participate, and social innovation and specific societal issues are on the agenda. Each year DANSIC focuses on a different aspect related to promote a social and sustainable change.

Responsibly

Responsibly is a sustainability tech start-up with vision of making every purchase in the world responsible 🌍 There's no bigger problem out there than the climate, and procurement represents a big part of the solution - when purchase decisions are made on the background of responsible data like CO2 footprint, suppliers have a huge incentive to change. However, procurement is becoming overloaded with complexity. Different frameworks, different data sources, different coverage, making it difficult to make purchase decisions to improve your responsibility profile and scope 3 emissions. At Responsibly, we're trying to solve this issue by using leading technologies and data science, to build a supplier data platform that makes it easier to source responsibly. We're founded by two serial entrepreneurs with previous successes like Dixa and Ofload, and have received pre-seed funding from some of Europe's top VCs and angels. We're now building a top-tier team to tackle this big thing called climate, and have fun while we're doing it 🤘

Klimate

We are devoted to accelerating the development and adoption of technologies that can help fight climate change by actively removing CO2 from the atmosphere. The challenge We are emitting 50 Gigatons of CO2 every year, and that needs to be reduced by at least 80%. However, that still leaves 10 Gigatons of CO2, and we need to get all the way to zero. Trees are great, but we need many more solutions as well if we are to get to zero. Currently, most of these are way too expensive (and limited in capacity) for companies to use. We've developed a platform that combines methods and makes it available to every company that wants to compensate their emissions. We work with cutting edge technologies, including Direct Air Capture, Bio char, Bio oil etc.

Grad ApS

GRAD ApS is a Danish startup on a mission: to sustainably refine the global beverage cooling industry. Located on Vesterbro in Copenhagen and based on its patent pending technology and award winning design, GRAD has developed a portfolio of “Perfect Serve” cooling products for the global hospitality industry. The product has gained international traction and the company is currently scaling up fast on several markets globally. GRAD is an international team of 10 with backgrounds varying from engineering and design, to business and supply chain. It is an open, friendly, trusting and hardworking environment where coffee is always flowing, and (perfectly cooled) drinks can be enjoyed on a Friday at the home-built office bar.

Rockstart

Rockstart is an early-stage investor that empowers purpose-driven founders across three domains: Energy, AgriFood, and Emerging Technologies. Rockstart invests in early-stage startups and provides access to capital, market, and expertise by connecting founders with co-investors, mentors, partners, corporates and the wider Rockstart network. Rockstart has invested in more than 300 startups and its alumni value to date is more than $1bn. Rockstart is an international team of 45+ professionals dedicated to empowering purpose-driven founders to become scalable and drive positive change on a global scale. Futurebox

Futurebox is the leading hardware and deep tech startup incubator and accelerator, helping new technology to future industries. We are dedicated to helping deep tech startups bridge the gap from idea, over prototyping, to market entry and established business. Our incubator and acceleration programs are developed to help founders make the leap from early startup to established business, through a targeted and structured program where we supply a dedicated business coach, toolbox workshops, access to mentor program and business support.

Swan Neck Bio

Swan Neck Bio partners with food and biotech companies of any size to scale, commercialize, and deploy their microorganisms. Our vision is a world where there are no constraints to progress for the biosolutions urgently needed by a growing population. Today, food and biotech companies with promising solutions looking to scale are held back by a slow testing phase and huge capital outlays. These unnecessary constraints cause too many businesses to fail before their time. We partner with you to help you trial, validate, and scale your microorganism from lab to 1,000L. This dramatically derisks your scaling process and accelerates your time-to-market. And its 10-100 times cheaper than existing solutions.

Ento

At Ento, we help organisations monitor and optimise energy consumption across large building portfolios. By combining millions of data points with artificial intelligence, we translate complex energy data into actionable insights that make it easier to reduce energy use, meet regulatory requirements, and document real savings and impact. Ento works with organisations across Europe, including municipalities, retail chains, social housing providers, and asset and property managers. Today, more than one third of all municipalities in Denmark use our platform, alongside large retail and real estate portfolios in Italy and the UK, as well as some of Europe’s largest cities. Over 50,000 buildings run on Ento, helping customers save more than 15,000 tons of CO₂. Our team consists of 11 experienced people across 4 countries, with offices in Denmark (Aarhus and Copenhagen). We work in a hybrid setup, combining remote work with the flexibility to collaborate from the office when it makes sense. This way of working relies on trust rather than strict rules and gives people a high degree of autonomy. In return, we expect ownership, accountability, and intrinsic motivation.

Trebo

Trebo is a cleantech startup that develops and manufactures a novel fluid-mechanical based plastic sorting technology. The sorting technology enables the plastic industry to sort large-scale plastic-type mixtures and transform the industry’s production waste into valuable resources. The Procurement costs on virgin materials are reduced and the environmental impact from incinerating or dumping plastic waste is eliminated. The annual global production of plastic has in 2019 exceeded more than 300,000,000,000 kg and even though the majority of plastic waste is suited for recycling purposes, more than 90% of the global production of plastic is either incinerated, deposited or dumped in nature. As the production of one kilogram of virgin plastic on average requires three kilograms of natural oil, the plastic industry is a global large-scale consumer of fossil fuels and therefore an important intrant in the green and sustainable changeover of the industry. Due to the wide palette of applications and physical characteristics of plastics, many end-user plastic products consist of one or more different types of plastic. As the quality and application performance of mixed plastic is decreased critically compared to the pure counterpart, plastic mixes are often considered as waste and therefore incinerated or sold to a price significantly lower than the price of the virgin plastic. Industrial waste streams of mixed plastic constitute approximately 60% of the total plastic waste stream. We believe it is critical to develop technologies that effectively sorts and restores the value and physical properties of the virgin plastic.
