Electricity Maps provides actionable electricity data for more than 200 regions. We help businesses more effectively reduce their emissions, and enable products and services to differentiate their offerings by empowering end-users to be more carbon-aware. As wind and solar production fluctuate throughout the day, this information needs to be dynamic and updated in real-time. As this real-time information about the physical origin of electricity will be scrutinized and challenged by many parties, the effort has to be collaborative, open, and transparent. This is what motivated the creation of Electricity Maps. It started as a simple real-time data visualization in June 2016 and turned into a comprehensive data platform with high scientific integrity. More than 40,000 people use our app on a daily basis and market leaders like Google and Microsoft, are using our API for extensive projects in order to reach their climate goals and help their users take action against climate change. Our goal: a truly decarbonized electricity system. To get there, we will organize the world's electricity information, and use it to drive the transition toward a truly decarbonized electricity system.

Airlabs is an organisation with foundations in atmospheric chemistry and airflow engineering that has been established out of a desire to tackle the huge social problem of air quality in cities across the world. Our work is the result of active collaboration between our team and some of the world’s leading applied environmental research and engineering institutes. Our team brings together experts from widely varying disciplines: from atmospheric chemistry to pollution monitoring, from fluid dynamics to environmental health and from economics to engineering and design.

At Ento, we help organisations monitor and optimise energy consumption across large building portfolios. By combining millions of data points with artificial intelligence, we translate complex energy data into actionable insights that make it easier to reduce energy use, meet regulatory requirements, and document real savings and impact. Ento works with organisations across Europe, including municipalities, retail chains, social housing providers, and asset and property managers. Today, more than one third of all municipalities in Denmark use our platform, alongside large retail and real estate portfolios in Italy and the UK, as well as some of Europe’s largest cities. Over 50,000 buildings run on Ento, helping customers save more than 15,000 tons of CO₂. Our team consists of 11 experienced people across 4 countries, with offices in Denmark (Aarhus and Copenhagen). We work in a hybrid setup, combining remote work with the flexibility to collaborate from the office when it makes sense. Dryp is a range of solutions that enable proactive and holistic decision-making for water infrastructure. Dryp builds data bridges across both physical and adminstrative boarders. We are uniquely co-owned by a major danish utility - along with private companies and investors. We are spearheading a data, iot and machine-learning revolution.

Rope Robotics is the developer and producer of an automatic BR-8 robot to be used as a unique repair solution for leading edges on turbine blades. Wind turbine blades need to be repaired to maintain their high performance. With manual labor turbine blades can only be repaired 20% of the time during a year due to the fact that it requires technicians to climb up with support from ropes. Using our robot to do the repair and maintenance work in the heights, we are going to expand this repair window and to improve the working environment for the technicians. We have several robot pilots in the pipeline in various places around the world and have received major funding from the EU and Danish Government.

Hybrid Greentech inspires organisations to be green pioneers and invest in energy storage so we together can reach 100% renewable energy. We want to make it simple to leverage the full revenue potential for energy storage. We and our customers are in an emerging renewable market that will face 30 fold growth over the coming years. Hybrid Greentech is a 4-year old company entering the scale-up phase, developing an AI-driven software ecosystem for sizing and real-time optimisation of energy storage, and Power to X solutions in energy markets. GoBoat is an experience company, which offers unique social experiences on the water to both locals and tourists, through sustainable boat rental. It was founded in Copenhagen in February 2014 by Anders, Carl and Kasper – three young entrepreneurs. Today the company operates boat rentals all over the world.

Danish Social Innovation Club (DANSIC) is Denmark's largest platform for social innovation. It is a voluntary non-profit organization run by ambitious Danish and international students which aids and inspires different actors in society, with social innovation methods and interdisciplinary work. We work to solve some of the greatest current societal challenges. Our mission is to create a society that is socially, environmentally and economically sustainable. DANSIC is supported by an Advisory Board of leading individuals and organizations in the fields of social innovation and entrepreneurship, and receive aid from sponsors and funds. DANSIC holds an annual event where different actors participate, and social innovation and specific societal issues are on the agenda.
