CPH Village is a Copenhagen based real estate start-up on a mission to create the best place to live for people and the planet through simple, communal living Our long-range vision is to export a new way of living to cities worldwide, and our goal for the next three years is to build and operate homes for 2.500 students. Our offices are located in our Villages on Refshaleøen and Vesterbro, and we work in the same kind of space as our residents live in. We are a young and action-oriented team in an exciting expansion phase as we are planning to quadruple our operations during the next year.

OwnCity gives people the opportunity to invest and initiate projects, like on Kickstarter, but with energy efficiency projects in their own local community. This enables buildings to reduce energy costs, lower CO2 emissions, and deliver better indoor air quality while increasing community engagement and providing an attractive return for investors.  We are looking to power our platform with an innovative use of blockchain to create transparency and liquidity for everyone involved.

We`ve been organising Startup Weekends in Copenhagen for 4 years, educating and inspiring hundreds of people to become entrepreneurs. We were lucky to see it from the first row how #CPHSW helped people get into the entrepreneur mindset and to try new challenges. We always believed that one of strongest forces were the network of people you created during those crazy weekends. This is why we created Startup Weekend Mega: The biggest Startup Weekend ever organised in Europe.  We´re an awesome group of volunteers coming from a wide variety of backgrounds. All of us have their own stories about how we ended up joining the #CPHSW family.  We are proud that we`re 100% voluntarily run organisation and that we created a culture where everybody feels safe to experiment and make their own decisions. And we`re always there to support each other outside Startup Weekends.  We think being part of the organiser family is an excellent opportunity to try out craziest ideas in your field. We are building large-scale robots with computer vision to sort all waste in extremely high purity. You are right for the team if you are passionate about building robots and/or their AI controls. Our main focus is keeping the team small. Easysort is not profitable yet. We expect to be able to pay you before the end of 2025, but all positions are unpaid and current equity-based. We expect everyone to be on-site all the time when working with Easysort.

Our core thesis revolves around overcoming challenges in commercialization of scientific breakthroughs by providing the facility between scientists and entrepreneurs. We extend the conventional 10-year venture capital horizon, allowing for the maturation of technologies and customer demand. We focus specifically the hard sciences: physics, chemistry and their derived engineering disciplines.
