Care 2 People is a non-profit NGO that provides self-help assistance, both in Denmark and around the world, our main focus areas are to fight desertification and improve the world's climate change. Care2People works with all aspects of the humanitarian field and likes to work as an umbrella organization. We do advise and conduct not only anti-radicalization courses but also competency related job adaptation, motivate and carry out repatriation tasks, including preparation and participation in clarification processes, planning integration in the home country, including business plan/return home and family plan, etc. Care2People is happy to hold courses and help launch new businesses.

UNYA Copenhagen is a volunteer-driven youth organization dedicated to empowering young people to engage with global challenges through the lens of the United Nations’ values and the Sustainable Development Goals. We organize interactive events, workshops, and panel discussions that make complex global topics accessible and relevant. Our activities are co-created by volunteers from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds who bring their own insights to the table. ESEBA, a deep tech startup from DTU, transforms low-quality textile waste into MDF boards without binders or formaldehyde. We offer a sustainable, non-toxic alternative to traditional wood-based panels. Textile waste is a massive and growing problem in Europe – less than 1% is recycled into new products, and most ends up incinerated. At the same time, formaldehyde regulations are tightening, and deforestation pressures are increasing demand for alternatives to virgin wood. ESEBA’s mission is to enable local, circular board production through a scalable, plug-and-produce production line for furniture manufacturers.

In the European Union alone, more than 1.5 million paint buckets are discarded daily, constituting a disposal of 340 tons of single-use plastic that is incinerated each day. Starting from early 2023 (2025 in Denmark and Slovenia), manufacturers are obligated to cover the disposal costs of their packaging based on sustainability criteria. In Denmark, this translates to an estimated 15% fee on paint buckets. Furthermore, the conventional round shape of packaging has proven suboptimal for logistics and transportation. Beyond its environmental impact, the traditional paint bucket poses challenges for professional painters. These challenges encompass ergonomic issues during handling, such as the strain of lifting two buckets simultaneously, which exceeds recommended weight limits according to the Working Environment Authority. Painters also find themselves in awkward positions when pouring paint into a roller bucket for wall application. The demanding physical nature of the painting profession in Denmark results in accelerated fatigue and early retirement for painters. Additionally, issues like lid leakage due to dried paint and the use of fragile, porous plastic contribute to unexpected spills, particularly during abrupt vehicle stops. Our innovative solution involves a cardboard box housing two patent-pending plastic bags, each containing 5 liters of paint. This packaging not only enhances the workflow for professional painters but also reduces costs and lowers carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions by approximately 65% per unit. The box's design facilitates easy and ergonomic transportation, allowing for a 45% increase in units per pallet. The box is opened, and one of the bags is inserted into a standard roller bucket used by painters. The bag effortlessly opens and seamlessly fits into the roller bucket, wrapping around the edges, and enabling the painter to begin work promptly. This functionality is made possible through an innovative patented design and specific plastic welding techniques.

Currently 25 startups and scaleups saluting the green transition is reciting in the hub on a daily basis, but we are working with more than 100 startups on an annual basis through our different programs and activities.

By delivering a low-carbon alternative to traditional concrete beams and saving clients up to 70% in carbon AND up to 50% in material costs, we have a solution that is urgently needed and ready to implement at a global scale.

More than 40% of the electrical energy in office environments is used outside working hours. CO2 in buildings has too high a level, which gives sick employees and students who lose 12% of their learning ability. Ventilation is often oversized by 10-20% due to uncertainty about CO2 levels, which have not been adequately investigated and measured. Often, consulting firms offer a measurement over 30 days. The measurements are only a snapshot of the real picture, which does not take into account the season and number of people in the room. VOCs in buildings are more harmful than first thought. VOC combined with too high CO2 can cause allergic reactions and over time develop asthma. The solution for reducing electricity consumption is to use intelligent automation and with behavior control. A sensor can be set up in areas that are used that automatically turn on the light when there is a person present. Several companies offer this solution, but if it is to be used for something, the devices must send data to the central server, after which you can analyze when and how much. The data set provides better management and control. For the CO2 problem, sensors are set up in the premises. The problem with existing sensors on the market is they have to be mounted with cable that is led maybe 100m away to a central box. It is both expensive and often not without surprises, especially for older buildings where drawings are often not updated. Sawux solves several of the mentioned problems. Sawux is a combination of 5 sensors in the same unit that measure and operate wirelessly. The sensors have access to a Cloud server, where data is collected every minute. Then data can be analyzed and given a real picture over time, which forms the basis for the right decision and correct ventilation systems. Sawux fits into existing 230V electrical environment and does not require cabling, boxes, battery or external power supplies. Sawux connects to the Internet via standard WiFi, which is found in all modern buildings. Sawux's solution is very cost effective and user friendly which is able to provide valid data. The Sawux system comes with an app. and web based energy management system, where you can at any time perform analysis of the building completely at the contact level.

Klima Biler er sat i verden for dem, der går med tanker om at anskaffe sig en klimavenlig bil. Hos KlimaBiler.dk er der ingen benzin- og dieselbiler, medmindre der er tale om hybridbiler. Vi har fokus på klimavenlige biler og dermed fremtiden. Vi hører selv til i kategorien af dem, der elsker lyden af en V8’er! … men det er lyden af fortiden, det er lyden af afbrænding af fossile brændstoffer. Vi er også fuldt ud bevidste om, at det kan diskuteres, hvilke biltyper der forurener mest fra vugge til grav, og problematikker omkring rækkevidde, manglende ladestandere og ladetid. MEN jo flere der kører klimavenligt, jo hurtigere går udviklingen af de grønne teknologier, og jo hurtigere går det med at nedbringe de børnesygdommene med førnævnte problematikker. Derfor ønsker vi at kickstarte den udvikling og få så mange klimavenlige biler på vejene som muligt. Vi pudser ikke vores glorie! Vi glemmer også at slukke lyset og har masser af vaner, der er meget lidt klimavenlige, men stille og roligt bliver vi mere og mere bevidste om de valg der kan gøres anderledes for at belaste klimaet mindre. Der er masser af ting, der kan gøres bedre for den besøgende eller for dem, der sætter deres bil til salg på klimabiler.dk … der kan vi heldigvis undskylde os med, at vi er helt grønne. Men nu er vi i gang og som med el- og hybridbiler, er det et skridt i den rigtige retning. Og vi er altid åbne for forslag til forbedringer eller ideer til indhold på siden. Man bliver ambassadør for klimaet og er med til at vise vejen til et bedre klima i alle henseender, for vi ser klimavenlige biler som fyrtårne for udviklingen af grønne teknologier generelt. Og bla. Tesla har vist, at klimavenlig teknologi og biler bestemt ikke behøver at være kedeligt.
