Growstack is an open-source non-profit community project addressing the issues within our food system via vertical farming, to improve food quality and sustainability. Foodstack - the community behind Growstack - is for do'ers of all kinds who want to get involved hands-on with and share knowledge about food technology. We're building tools that boost ROI on solar and wind assets across Europe, while making both the investments and the energy produced accessible for any type of consumer, big or small. To begin with we are doing this by being the first vendor able to enable energy sharing communities in Denmark.

Ny teknologi: Vi har udviklet en ny form for byggeplade der har flere fordele end den normale gipsplade, vi kan ikke afslører detaljerne da vi er i gang med en patent ansøgning. Cirkulær bæredygtig økonomisk forretning Mange virksomheder har i dag en vision om en bæredygtig fremtid og der stor fokus på cirkulær økonomi og byggeri. Vi i Rumett ønsker at sætte fokus på ressourcer og at erstatte noget af de naturlige ressourcer der bliver brugt i gips produktionen med aske affald, men samtidig med at opnå de nævnte cirkulærer mål. Mange af de stakeholdere som vi har snakket med som ville være vores potentielle kunder har syntes at vores koncept er fremragende og ville matche med deres vision men især på at det vil samtidigt løse et konkret problem som plager industrien. Askepladen vil have det samme koncept som gipspladen som anvendes til brandsikre konstruktioner i Danmark, disse plader er brugt i et hvert nybyggeri og renovations projekter, efterspørgslen er stor, da først og fremmest er et reglement krav at bruge gipsplader til brandsikring og akustik, men også er de nemmere at erstatte og installere.

We are HEMBOO: an early stage start-up with the vision of making low emissions, renewable materials the norm in construction. Besides fossil fuels, the production of concrete is the worst emitter of CO2 in the world. However it is the most used material within the construction sector. But not for long: climate legislation is about to make concrete a whole lot more expensive, by introducing a CO2 TAX. This leaves the construction companies with a problem as there is no valid sustainable alternative they can use. HEMBOO offers an easy solution: prefabricated walls for new construction made of hemp and bamboo with a reduction of 80% CO2 emitted compared to the traditionally used concrete walls. BUT the construction industry is very conservative and risk-averse. Therefore getting to market is a long journey. We built our first prototype are now preparing for the second one and are gathering data on the needs of our customers. Our aim is to provide a solution similar enough in prefabrication and installation methods, to make the transition from concrete fast and easy. Our element is designed for large scaled production so that we can have the largest impact. Recently we have received a total of 520.000 dkk in soft funding for product development and are participating in multiple startup support programs so it is full speed ahead! The team behind it all: We are a diverse team of three, Elsa Maria Iuliano, Helena Brandt Rejndrup and Michael Hallam. Helena and Elsa graduated as architectural engineers from DTU while Michael is finishing up his studies in design and entrepreneurship. We started HEMBOO because we are all very passionate about making an environmental impact. As a team we have a lot fun together, while still being productive. We emphasize a friendly environment where we help each other even though everyone has individual responsibilities. Currently looking to expand and we want you to be a part of it! CWare is an independent research and consultancy SME conducting economic research, and providing strategic consulting services within Economics, Circular Economy, Sustainable Development, Resource Efficiency, Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Life Cycle Costing (LCC). CWare was founded in 2020 as a spin-off and continue the works and involvement in a number of EU research projects within circular economy, urban resilience and transition to a green economy. CWare is based in Copenhagen and we are part of the BLOXHUB, the Nordic Hub for sustainable urbanization.

Fischer Lighting is a sustainable front-runner who has developed a unique circular business model where waste is transformed into new beautiful lamps that make buildings more sustainable and people healthier. In 2023, Fischer Lighting saved more than 53 tons of discarded lamps from being thrown away, and with the concepts ReUse, ReDesign, and ReCreate, unique lighting solutions are created in a beautiful and industrial design that meets all the requirements of a new lighting fixture. In addition to environmental sustainability, social sustainability is also an important part of the concept. Therefore, all the old lamps are separated and assembled by people on the edge of the labor market in Denmark. At the same time, the lamps are equipped with the latest technology, which, among other things, enables circadian lighting, which can stimulate the production of hormones in our body and create better well-being for people in buildings.

UNYA Copenhagen is a volunteer-driven youth organization dedicated to empowering young people to engage with global challenges through the lens of the United Nations’ values and the Sustainable Development Goals. We create an inclusive platform where students and young professionals can learn, collaborate, and take action on issues like climate change, social inequality, peacebuilding, and innovation. We are addressing a clear and growing problem i.e. the disconnect between youth and global institutions. Many young people in Denmark care deeply about sustainability and justice but find it difficult to access meaningful opportunities to participate in international dialogue or contribute to real-world impact. This gap leaves motivated individuals without a channel to apply their energy, creativity, and ideas, while institutions miss out on fresh perspectives and engagement from the very generation that will inherit the future. UNYA Copenhagen bridges this divide by turning global ideals into local action. We organize interactive events, workshops, and panel discussions that make complex global topics accessible and relevant. Our activities are co-created by volunteers from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds who bring their own insights to the table. Through collaboration with universities, NGOs, and public institutions, we connect youth directly with experts and decision-makers, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and agency. Incremental Maritime is developing a digital compliance solution that helps shipowners and operators navigate complex decarbonization regulations; transforming compliance into lower emissions and higher margins. Our deep regulatory expertise, data-driven models, and hands-on client support are what set us apart. Global shipping faces an accelerating tide of climate regulation, from the IMO’s GHG Fuel Intensity targets to FuelEU Maritime and EU ETS. These rules impact everything: fuel costs, asset values, and day-to-day operations. Yet most market players lack the tools and insights to respond; let alone turn compliance into an advantage. This leaves shipowners and operators asking: - What decarbonization investments make financial sense? - How do I reduce risk and avoid penalties? - Can I stay compliant across multiple regimes without extra complexity? - Without smart tools, these questions are hard to answer - and costly to get wrong. We launched Incremental Maritime because we saw a blind spot: climate regulation was outpacing the industry’s ability to respond and the result was confusion, cost, and missed opportunity. With experience spanning maritime operations and regulatory systems, we knew we could help. We believe that smarter compliance is not a burden, it’s a pathway to performance. We're here to equip shipping with the tools to decarbonize profitably, one fixture, one voyage, one regulation at a time.

Many people are talking about the smart grid and how we can reach 100% sustainable energy, and avoid global warming getting out of hand, by intelligently balancing the consumption so it fits with the electricity production. At True Energy we're already doing it! True Energy offers a smart charging app to our end users so they can register their car or charger and have it start or stop charging based on the hour of day and the electricity price, so the user optimizes their charging to be cheapest. The service is free of charge for the end user because they participate in our flexibility pool where the power companies can buy offsetting of the consumption if the grid is overloaded or production is expensive. We use Google Workspace, GitLab as code repo, Jira for our agile project management, and Slack for chat. We have a policy of 100% line coverage for unit tests, and want to support continuous delivery. We focus on collaboration and an open, inclusive work environment. Our team is multinational, and the working language is English, so full proficiency is required.. We have team members in several time zones.
