Girls' education is an incredibly powerful climate solution due to its stong relationship with child marriage prevention and subsequent delayed motherhood; impacting population growth and lowering consumption-based emissions. 130 million girls in the world's poorest and most climate-vulnerable communities are effectively excluded from education due to poverty. Humanitarian organizations in low-income countries constantly struggle to fundraise and are never able to fully meet the needs of the most marginalized. SoGreen is a startup with a big heart and an even bigger ambition: A world where all girls realise their right to education and climate justice is placed at the heart of all climate action. In collaboration with leading scientists at renowned European research institutions in the field of demography and climate science,* SoGreen has developed a methodology to quantify the climate impact of girls' education in tonnes CO2-equivalent avoided. This allows for the generation of carbon credits (1 ton = 1 carbon credit) which can be sold on the international carbon market to channel climate finance to girls' education. In partnership with FAWEZA, a leading pan-African NGO focusing on girls' education, SoGreen's pilot project is being implemented in Zambia. Over the coming 5 years, the project will ensure a full secondary education for 180 marginalized girls. All carbon credits generated by the project have been sold ex ante to over 30 companies that have ambitious sustainability strategies, which allow for the use of carbon credits in addition to reducing their own emissions. SoGreen aims to be the provider of the worlds most popular carbon credits within the next 5 years; resulting in a powerful reduction in emissions and a massive increase in educational attainment - a basic human right. *International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Austria, Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) in Germany, and The Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital (WIC) in Austria.

Provargo A/S er markedsførende indenfor drikkevarekontrol. Vi udvikler, producerer og leverer online baserede doserings og kontrolsystemer til hospitality branchen, med et væld af kunder i både Danmark og resten af verden. Vi gennemgår i øjeblikket en spændende fase i vores udvikling som virksomhed, med et større fokus rettet mod bar,-, hotel-, og restaurationskæder. Samtidig arbejder vi også tæt sammen med distributører på markedet. I bar og restaurationsbranchen er det almindeligt at se relativt høje spildprocenter på drikkevarer. Det resulterer i to problemstillinger: 1) Et stort tab af omsætning. 2) Manglende overblik over reel lagerbeholdning af eksempelvis fustager, flasker, post-mix beholdere, osv. Derfor har vi udviklet systemer der synliggør på et online dashboard, nøjagtigt hvad der tappes af såvel spiritus, som øl, vin og sodavand. Alle tappedata registreres med tidsstempler og er i stand til at give brugeren et overblik over forbrugsmønstre, lagerniveauer, spidsbelastninger af personale, faktisk forbrug af drikkevarerne der tilbydes, m.v. Vores kerneprodukt er i stand til at integrere med cloud-baserede POS systemer, hvilket gør det muligt for udvalgte personer (eksempelvis ejere eller lokale driftschefer) at overvåge balanceforholdet imellem salg og faktiske udskænkninger. Herudover tilbyder vi også øvrige løsninger der sikrer at kvaliteten af drikkevarerne er i top, eksempelvis ved temperaturkontrol og køler overvågning. Da vi er en virksomhed der selv udvikler og producerer alle vore løsninger fra bunden, inklusiv vores cloud, har vi også stor fokus på løbende at optimere og forbedre alle elementer. That is why our mission is to leverage the power of systems innovation to transform whole places, industries, and value chains by 2030, working across sectors to develop and scale ambitious, mission-led programmes. Established in 2010 and headquartered in Amsterdam, we orchestrate a community of more than 200 organisations including large corporations and SMEs, municipal and regional governments, universities, and research institutes, as well as non-governmental organisations and uncommon actors. Historically, we have been funded by our founder and core funder, the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT), but we are currently transitioning to a multi-funder model. EIT Climate-KIC colleagues are based in one of our local offices across Europe or work remotely from home based in one of the countries where we have a branch. We meet at our local offices to exchange and connect and use online collaboration tools work with each other and with our Community.
