At Lyras, we develop and manufacture systems for the liquid food processing industry.We aim to replace traditional heat-based pasteurization and spore removal in the food processing industry by introducing our novel cold pasteurisation technology, which reduces the energy consumption related to traditional heat-pasteurization by more than 90%.Our goal is to provide a greener and more efficient technological change to a global industry, allowing for a truly sustainable production chain.

Flow Loop has developed a shower panel that is able to save up to 85% water and energy while providing a better flow than a standard shower.The savings are achieved by constantly micro-filtering, UV-purifying and recirculating shower water directly from the existing shower floor.Because the system is plug&play it is easy to retro-fit in existing bathrooms. The self-cleaning micro-filters ensure low maintenance. The high flow of recirculated water ensures higher comfort with a clean conscious. We are HEMBOO: an early stage start-up with the vision of making low emissions, renewable materials the norm in construction. Besides fossil fuels, the production of concrete is the worst emitter of CO2 in the world. However it is the most used material within the construction sector. But not for long: climate legislation is about to make concrete a whole lot more expensive, by introducing a CO2 TAX. This leaves the construction companies with a problem as there is no valid sustainable alternative they can use. HEMBOO offers an easy solution: prefabricated walls for new construction made of hemp and bamboo with a reduction of 80% CO2 emitted compared to the traditionally used concrete walls. BUT the construction industry is very conservative and risk-averse. Therefore getting to market is a long journey. We built our first prototype are now preparing for the second one and are gathering data on the needs of our customers. Our aim is to provide a solution similar enough in prefabrication and installation methods, to make the transition from concrete fast and easy. Our element is designed for large scaled production so that we can have the largest impact. Recently we have received a total of 520.000 dkk in soft funding for product development and are participating in multiple startup support programs so it is full speed ahead! The team behind it all: We are a diverse team of three, Elsa Maria Iuliano, Helena Brandt Rejndrup and Michael Hallam. Helena and Elsa graduated as architectural engineers from DTU while Michael is finishing up his studies in design and entrepreneurship. We started HEMBOO because we are all very passionate about making an environmental impact. As a team we have a lot fun together, while still being productive. We emphasize a friendly environment where we help each other even though everyone has individual responsibilities. Currently looking to expand and we want you to be a part of it! Care 2 People is a non-profit NGO that provides self-help assistance, both in Denmark and around the world, our main focus areas are to fight desertification and improve the world's climate change. Care2People works with all aspects of the humanitarian field and likes to work as an umbrella organization. We do advise and conduct not only anti-radicalization courses but also competency related job adaptation, motivate and carry out repatriation tasks, including preparation and participation in clarification processes, planning integration in the home country, including business plan/return home and family plan, etc. Care2People is happy to hold courses and help launch new businesses.

NitroVolt is decarbonizing nitrogen-based fertilizer production and making the agricultural sector more resilient with a novel production process. Commercial ammonia production supports 40-50% of the agricultural industry as a nitrogen-based fertilizer. But current ammonia production is not sustainable, releasing over 1% of global greenhouse gas emissions during production facilities and further emissions during transportation to the end user, farmers. NitroVolt offers a local ammonia production solution that gives farmers the ability to produce their own nitrogen-based fertilizer. The only inputs required by NitroVolt’s container-sized systems are air, water, and electricity, enabling production of sustainable ammonia directly at farms. NitroVolt’s patented electrochemical Nitrolyzer unit can make ammonia on-demand with intermittent renewable energy sources. With their technology, NitroVolt aims to decarbonize nitrogen-based fertilizer production one farm at a time, cut the logistic costs of distributing fertilizer, and make the agricultural sector more resilient to external factors.
