At Coastgrass we have developed a sustainable replacement to crude oil-based plastic materials. By collecting and upcycling eelgrass from the Danish beaches we can offer a variety of different polymer compounds with a much lower carbon footprint than traditional plastic materials. We believe in using renewable natural resources to create climate-friendly solutions, so that we ensure a sustainable future.

Vi arbejder for at reducere vores enorme plastikproduktion ved blandt andet at eliminere unødvendig engangsplastik fra vores produkter, ved at sætte bedre rammer for hvordan vi designer produkter til mere genbrug, og det plastik vi ikke kan genbruge, skal vi kunne genanvende. Vi arbejder både på politisk niveau, sammen med befolkningen, i samarbejde med innovationspartnere, på internationalt niveau, sammen med forskere og med at uddanne vores fremtidige generationer om problemet. GLYON is developing a CO₂-powered textile-to-textile recycling technology to help brands, fiber producers, and recyclers solve the growing textile waste crisis with a breakthrough chemical recycling process that turns waste into virgin-quality raw materials for new fibers—without fossil fuels. We address the massive problem of textile waste, a global crisis where over 92 million tonnes of textile waste are discarded each year—most of it ending up in landfills or incinerated. This contributes to major pollution issues but also forces the textile industry to continue its dependence on virgin fossil-based materials. Our solution targets fiber producers, brands, and recyclers who need circular raw material solutions. Our CO₂-based chemical recycling process breaks down polyester textiles into building blocks and leaves other fibers like cotton intact. Both PET building blocks and cotton can be used to produce new, high-quality fibers without the need for virgin oil and reducing water consumption and CO₂ emissions.

Bio-compostable plastic is already used in many industries today. GRØNBLÅ goes much further. As a solutions partner, GRØNBLÅ helps companies and brands to push their green and sustainable efforts to a new level. GRØNBLÅ wants to create a true circular economy: First and foremost is the use of proven and certified bioplastics for packaging and accessories. A take-back program to ensure that the bio-compostable material is collected without being mixed with other material and composted in special facilities.
