At Coastgrass we have developed a sustainable replacement to crude oil-based plastic materials. By collecting and upcycling eelgrass from the Danish beaches we can offer a variety of different polymer compounds with a much lower carbon footprint than traditional plastic materials. GRAD ApS is a Danish startup on a mission: to sustainably refine the global beverage cooling industry. Located on Vesterbro in Copenhagen and based on its patent pending technology and award winning design, GRAD has developed a portfolio of “Perfect Serve” cooling products for the global hospitality industry. The product has gained international traction and the company is currently scaling up fast on several markets globally. GRAD is an international team of 10 with backgrounds varying from engineering and design, to business and supply chain. We`ve been organising Startup Weekends in Copenhagen for 4 years, educating and inspiring hundreds of people to become entrepreneurs. We were lucky to see it from the first row how #CPHSW helped people get into the entrepreneur mindset and to try new challenges. We always believed that one of strongest forces were the network of people you created during those crazy weekends. Based in Aarhus, Denmark, we are a Venture Lab for hard things, worth doing. Contrary to what many may think, the technological progress has stagnated for nearly four decades. Målbar has created a highly advanced digital tool to measure the climate impact of products. The uniquely user-friendly tool allows companies to screen products on three precision levels, making it possible to obtain useful results without completing the traditional resource heavy life cycle assessment.
