Women suffering from ruptures experience incontinence, pain during intercourse, prolapsed uterus, amongst other issues requiring medical support, and generally see a huge impact on their quality of life. Complications cost healthcare systems billions every year, even without calculating aftercare to treat side effects and further complications. We have developed a game-changing birth rupture prevention technology that supports midwives and health workers in their efforts to protect the vulnerable perineal area and reduce birth ruptures. It is a medical device that is applied in the pushing phase of labour, providing protection of the perineal wall and dampening the stress on the skin.
