Norway as a large fishery nation has long experience in developing marine resources and possesses high technology in inventing and manufacturing high quality, clean health products with marine and other nutrients. Norway can take a unique position in this global trend. After more than 8 years of research and development, aiming to replicate the human eye lens, poLight is in the final stage of introducing products to the market with a technology taking astonishing images with instant focus. We are developing a tuneable lens technology that will enable next generation auto focus capability camera module for the mobile phone industry. Albapost utvecklar en digital avsändningsplattform som hjälper företag att ersätta fysisk post med snabb, spårbar och juridiskt giltig digital leverans via BankID-autentiserade kanaler. Varje dag skickar svenska företag avtal, underrättelser och formella dokument på samma sätt som för 30 år sedan. För massutskick finns lösningar, men för enstaka viktiga försändelser är fysisk post fortfarande standard. Det är långsamt, kostsamt och ospårbart i realtid, trots att infrastrukturen för något bättre redan finns på plats i form av BankID, Kivra och Billo. Via Albaposts webbgränssnitt laddar företag upp ett dokument och skickar det digitalt till mottagaren via Kivra, Billo eller säker e-post, autentiserat med BankID eller Freja eID. Brev, rekommenderade brev och dokument för signering hanteras i en och samma plattform, med full leveransspårning och kvittens. API-integration för systemkopplingar är under utveckling. Idén växte fram ur vårt arbete i ett annat bolag inom juridiska tjänster. Vi stötte gång på gång på samma problem: företag som behövde skicka viktiga handlingar till privatpersoner utan något bra digitalt alternativ. Det gapet är vad Albapost är byggt för att stänga.

Cobrief is developing an AI-powered public procurement platform to help businesses across all industries find, evaluate, and win government tenders — replacing manual, time-consuming bid processes with intelligent automation that acts like having an extra colleague on the team. Public procurement represents over 800 billion NOK annually in Norway alone, yet the average government tender receives only around 3–5 bids. In nearly 20% of tenders, only one or zero suppliers submit a bid. The reason: tender data is scattered across closed platforms, the process is complex, and small businesses lack the resources to keep up. Suppliers can't find the opportunities, or give up because the process is too complicated. The result is less competition, worse deals for taxpayers, and lost revenue for businesses that could have won. Cobrief aggregates public tenders from procurement databases across Scandinavia, Finland, and Germany — including Doffin, TED, Udbud, and Hilma — into a single searchable platform. AI-powered matching scores every opportunity against each company's profile, sending relevant alerts via email, Slack, or Teams. When a team decides to bid, an AI writing module drafts proposal responses from a knowledge base of past submissions. Automated price sheet filling pulls from product catalogs, and CV matching identifies the right personnel. A Bid Manager Agent provides autonomous support throughout the entire process — functioning as an AI colleague from evaluation to submission. Teams collaborate in shared workspaces with task boards, deadline calendars, and role-based access. Used by 1,500+ companies, with a free plan to get started. The founders experienced firsthand how broken the public procurement process is for suppliers. Tender data that should be freely and directly accessible by law is in practice locked behind commercial platforms, creating unnecessary barriers to competition. They saw that businesses — especially SMBs — were missing out on opportunities worth billions simply because the system was too opaque and complex. Cobrief was built to fix that: make public tenders accessible, understandable, and winnable for every business. Beyond the product, the team is actively advocating for open procurement data in Norway through anbudsdata.no, pushing for systemic change so that public tender data is truly open — not just in theory, but in practice.

We help clinicians make better treatment decisions in complex conditions where outcomes are often driven by trial and error. Neuropathic pain affects hundreds of millions of people globally, yet matching the right patient with the right treatment remains a major challenge. We combine clinical expertise with AI and data-driven methods to enable more precise and personalized care. We build data-driven patient models (“digital twins”) from clinical and physiological data to support better diagnosis and treatment decisions. Our goal is to bring better decision-making into everyday clinical practice. We work closely with clinicians, universities, and AI researchers, and bring together expertise in pain research, healthcare, and technology. The Elevator Pitch GEIST is developing next-generation sailing apparel for recreational and lifestyle sailors who want protection and freedom on the water—without the bulk, stiffness, or elitist aesthetics of traditional sailing gear. By combining high-performance materials, real-world testing, and community-driven design, GEIST delivers technical sailing wear that enhances the experience instead of getting in the way. 2. The What: What are you solving? Sailing apparel today is largely designed for professional racers or extreme offshore conditions—resulting in garments that are heavy, rigid, over-engineered, and visually disconnected from how most people actually sail. This creates a gap for: - Recreational sailors - Lifestyle / adventure sailors - Coastal and day sailors who want reliable protection from wind, spray, and weather, but also comfort, mobility, and a modern aesthetic they enjoy wearing. As a result, many sailors compromise—either wearing gear that limits movement and comfort, or using outdoor apparel not built for marine conditions. This problem affects a broad and growing segment of sailors globally, especially as sailing increasingly overlaps with outdoor lifestyle, travel, and community-driven experiences. 3. How GEIST is solving it GEIST designs sailing apparel from the experience outward. We start by deeply understanding how our users move, layer, vent heat, and interact with their gear during real sailing scenarios—not idealized ones. From there, we: - Develop function-led designs focused on mobility, breathability, and smart protection - Use premium 3-layer performance fabrics and components chosen for durability, comfort, and sustainability - Prototype early and test continuously with sailors in real conditions - Co-create features, fit, and details with our community rather than designing in isolation Our first products—a sailing jacket and trousers—are built to be worn actively on the water and comfortably before and after, bridging performance and lifestyle without compromise. 4. Why GEIST exists GEIST started from lived frustration. As a sailor and outdoor enthusiast, I repeatedly experienced how traditional sailing gear interrupted the very thing it was supposed to support—the feeling of being present, capable, and free on the water. Gear was either too stiff, too bulky, too aggressive, or simply not designed for how most people sail today. I realized this wasn’t a niche problem—it was systemic. And it wasn’t being solved because the industry hadn’t truly shifted its perspective. GEIST exists to reimagine sailing apparel from the standpoint of experience, movement, and modern sailing culture. It’s about stripping away unnecessary complexity and designing gear that supports focus, confidence, and enjoyment—so when the wind hits, the world narrows, and the gear disappears.

As generic AI spreads misinformation and risks learning outcomes, we aim to set the global standard for trusted, engaging, and safe educational technology.

Kihleo

Kihleo is a medtech startup developing an early warning system for urinary tract infections in older people with incontinence receiving care at home or in nursing homes. UTIs are one of the most common reasons for acute deterioration, confusion, and hospitalisation in this group. They are challenging to detect early, because symptoms are often vague, many older people cannot clearly communicate discomfort, and home care staff and nurses have minimal time. Today, detection is primarily reactive. Staff notice that something is wrong, then order urine tests and start treatment when the infection is already well underway. This leads to unnecessary suffering, avoidable admissions, and a high use of antibiotics. Kihleo’s solution is a small sensor placed in the diaper that measures biomarkers in the urine every time the person voids. When the diaper is changed, the sensor is read, and data is sent to a secure backend. Algorithms and predictive models analyse patterns over time and provide early, trustworthy indications that an infection may be developing, days before clinical symptoms are usually recognised. The system is not a diagnostic tool. It is a decision-support and early-warning system that integrates into existing workflows and helps staff decide when to look more closely, consult a nurse or doctor, and perform standard diagnostic tests. The value is threefold. For older people, it means faster and more targeted treatment, fewer severe infections, less confusion, and a better day-to-day quality of life. For relatives and care staff, it provides reassurance, objective data, and more time for actual care rather than crisis management. For the public sector, it helps prevent avoidable hospitalisations and complications that are both expensive and resource-intensive. Kihleo is working with a hardware partner on sensor development and is already in dialogue with Danish municipalities about pilot projects. The long-term vision is to create a scalable, data-driven platform for early detection of infections and other complications in elderly care, using everyday materials like diapers as non-invasive data sources.

Treder - Connecting Homeowners with Verified Freelancers Treder is a Swedish mobile app that makes it easier and more affordable for households to find reliable freelancers for everyday home services - everything from cleaning and window washing to tutoring and furniture assembly. Instead of hiring expensive companies, users can quickly connect with verified, skilled freelancers who provide high-quality service at a budget-friendly price. Traditionally, households have relied on service companies that are often expensive and inflexible, forcing them to contact multiple providers, compare quotes, and wait for availability. At the same time, it can be difficult for individuals to earn extra income or start their own business, as traditional platforms often charge fees before freelancers have made any revenue. Treder solves both problems. It’s a curated marketplace where homeowners can browse verified freelancer profiles, read reviews, and hire with confidence. Every freelancer undergoes manual verification, including ID checks, ensuring safety and reliability. Treder makes it simple, safe, and cost-effective to get the help you need - exactly when you need it.
