AURA Biopharm AS was founded in 2016 by a team of scientists and drug developers with many years of experience in academia and major pharmaceutical companies and a proven track record of success in drug development. The emphasis of AURA is the development of novel and breakthrough therapies for unmet medical needs and orphan diseases and our slogan “A new opportunity for health” reflects AURA's mission to give a new opportunity to diseases in need of new and/or better therapies. The company operates virtually using a network of external collaborators (consultants, KOLs, CROs, CMOs etc).

We cultivate a unique product and engage experience and innovation. Formify helps small and middle-sized companies to legally sign digital documents in Europe. Supporting the EU-regulation eIDAS (for e-signatures) we target the ease of doing cross border business. With a disruptive price modell we do not see that a signed document should cost more than a stamp and envelope. Since dec 2019 with have focused on a real cost effective development with a small team and have passed MVP. We are now scaling our journey to country after country in their native language. Competitors or colleagues in the segment have build platforms that are too hard to understand and not user friendly as you expect from applications today. Too many platforms are build on the need for demos with long sales cycles. In our world, complex things are easy to use! Formalizes the way we sign. (guess where our name come from:-)

UVision makes sensors for underwater inspection - Visualising the subsea. Ships, harbours, windmills and bridges need regular inspection, also underwater, in order to avoid major failures and costly repairs. Underwater, inspection becomes a lot more complex, it is difficult and risky to operate under water, and video-inspections are costly and ineffective. We are therefor building the UVision sensor to make inspections easy, safe and precise. The UVision sensor is a 3D-underwater camera; unique in size and weight and therefore easy to mount on a pole, on any underwater drone or handheld by a diver. You scan an object by simply moving the sensor around it, guided by a real-time 3D-map on a screen. After the scan, advanced algorithms create a photorealistic 3D-model and store it in our cloud solution - ideal for collaboration with colleagues, customers and partners. We are three full-time founders - each with 25 years of experience within technology development, marketing and management. One of us has a lot of experience with underwater photography, and we all have a deep interest in technology and strong urge to make something of our own - with all the ups and downs it will bring :-)

Although society aims at replacing fossil resources with sustainable, renewable alternatives, the production of many materials like plastics and rubbers are still very dependent on fossil fuels. To replace petrol-based rubbers in consumer products, we developed a process to transform birch bark, an abundant residue of the global forestry industry, into the novel biomaterial, Reselo Rubber. Based on a comprehensive material characterisation and encouraging feedback from customers we believe that Reselo Rubber has great potential to replace fossil-derived rubbers in applications like footwear, protective gear, playground flooring and toys.

EIT Climate-KIC colleagues are based in one of our local offices across Europe or work remotely from home based in one of the countries where we have a branch. We meet at our local offices to exchange and connect and use online collaboration tools work with each other and with our Community. On occasion, we meet in-person as teams, and once per year as an organisation.
