ROICO Solutions ApS

At ROICO Solutions we are developing a collaborative painting robot working alongside painters boosting productivity, reducing physical strain, and addressing labour shortage on the construction site. We focus on ease-of-use with a plug-and-play design for increased mobility and flexibility. We experienced ourselves how challenging and physically demanding it was to paint. This made us curious to figure out what construction painters are faced with. - Painters have the lowest margins in construction - 86% of painting companies experience an increasing skilled labour shortage - 33% of all EU painters will retire within a decade, while labour shortage increases We aim to solve these issues with a collaborative, semiautonomous robotic painting solution for construction painters. Our solution: - Paints walls and ceilings up to 3.5 meters high using an extendable pillar; - Navigates autonomously along walls through a mobile base; - Object detection to recognize areas that should not be painted (e.g. windows or sockets); - Uses sensors to detect any obstacles or people to avoid collisions; - Mobile application allows manual control or semi-autonomous mode - Software and sensors gather data (e.g. wall type, objects on the wall and ceiling, paint consumption, activity timer, and data associated with navigation and mapping)

Exur Insurance Technologies

Exur is a Danish startup developing tech for the insurance industry. Our core product is a data enrichment- and delivery platform helping insurance intermediaries with the extensive data collection and processing that precedes an insurance tender or submission. Our mission is simple: we want to activate and engage data in any small-sized, mid-sized and large-scale insurance intermediary. We believe data is poorly leveraged in the insurance industry and it puts both buyers and sellers of insurance at a disadvantage. Therefore, our objective is to provide a method that allows insurance data to be utilized to its full potential. We do this through an innovative technology that systematizes and automates the data collection processes of insurance intermediaries. With more than 10 years of experience from working with data and risk modelling in both the insurance and banking industry, we have developed a framework for efficiently obtaining and processing risk data. ROPCA

ROPCA has the mission of helping patients by helping clinicians. Our tool is to develop robotic platforms for clinical applications with the goal of shorting waiting times in health care, create more precise and uniform diagnosis and to automate routine tasks. All over the world the challenge is the same: an increasing number of patients are covered by a decreasing number of specialists. ROPCA’s first product is the platform ARTHUR that is the world’s first ultrasound scanning system that the patient can use without an ultrasound specialist. ARTHUR can scan patients hands and give decision support for rheumatologists diagnosing and monitoring the disease rheumatoid arthritis. ROPCA is founded by a professor in medical robotics and one of the leading ultrasound specialists in rheumatoid arthritis, so we know the clinical challenges and the technical possibilities.

imvi labs was founded in 2021, based on interdisciplinary research with Karolinska Institutet, Linné Universitetet and Gävle Högskola. 10% of the world’s population struggle with reading. Our patented brain-eye coordination training app can free up 80-90% of the brain’s capacity, which can be used for faster reading, better concentration, and increased focus. All our customers have improved their reading speed, up to 800%. People with dyslexia and reading difficulties have on average improved over100%.

Nomono

Nomono is about to change podcasting as we know it with disruptive hardware and software. We’re a Norwegian tech-startup and lucky to be building a global brand where customer satisfaction is a key ingredient. Many challenges exist between recording and publishing. Getting ready and setting up equipment can feel like a time drain. Cables, microphones, and obtrusive stands get in the way of natural conversations. Laborious editing and audio cleanup distract you from being creative with the content. Faced with heaps of hurdles and complexities, even the most experienced creators sacrifice quality when crafting a story. We have created a portable recording studio that offers high quality audio recording and processing, consisting of a compact and easy to use recording kit (microphones, recording unit, charging station) controlled with a mobile app, as well as a web app supplying the ecosystem for processing it (offered as a SaaS solution). Recordings automatically sync to the cloud, and through machine learning you can clean out the sounds, remove background noise etc. A lot of great feedback from users, backing by large investors, and recently receiving the Innovation award in the audio category at SXSW 2023 is a great proof point that we are on the right track! Our main customers are broadcasting houses, agencies, journalists and independent podcasters, and our products are currently mainly shipped to customers in the US. We are a team of 37 (and growing) with expertise across signal processing, acoustics, consumer electronics and media production. Sealytix

Sealytix develops CAPSIM, an advanced stowage algorithm that liner shipping companies can use to maximize the profit of their fleet. Liner shippers are challenged by extremely complex stowage rules of container vessels. This means that sales teams are unable to fill all slots and sell container bookings that fit the vessel. The problem is known, but has defied automation until today. CAPSIM is the fourth generation of a series stowage algorithms developed in collaboration with Danish Universities since 2007. It includes a patented AI technology for predicting lashing forces and forecasting cargo. It is the first stowage algorithm in the world that is able to select spot and contract cargo to stow on a vessel that maximizes total cargo yield. A PoC with a large Danish liner shipper showed that CAPSIM enables vessels to increase their profit with 5-8%. This is a breakthrough result in a market that normally has profit margins of a few percent. The potential extra profit of the world fleet is more than $10B per year. Sealytix has a SaaS software product line consisting of SLX | YIELD, SLX | FLOW, and SLX | STOW supporting sales, capacity management, and stowage operation, respectively.
