Senior Product Designer

Salary Competitive

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to help build the best Digital Assistant for professional kitchens.

Running a profitable and enjoyable foodservice business without sacrificing chef creativity is incredibly hard. FoodOp is on a mission to change that globally.

More than 1000 chefs across 800+ kitchens use FoodOp daily to manage recipes, menus, procurement, and reporting. And we’re just getting started.

You will join our development team in Copenhagen, influencing both the product’s look and feel, as well as its usability and efficiency for professional chefs.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end user experience for our complex B2B product

  • Turn customer insights into elegant, scalable digital experiences that drive real business impact

  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers to ensure designs are feasible and implemented to high quality

Working at the intersection of strategy, design, and technology, you will help shape our product vision and set the benchmark for quality across our product.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Design: Own user journeys for B2B customers, moving seamlessly from early concepts and interactive prototypes to high-fidelity visual designs

User Research & Testing: Plan and conduct qualitative interviews, usability tests, and customer conversations to ground every design decision in real-world user needs

Business Alignment: Connect design outcomes to core business metrics, balancing user needs with technical feasibility and product strategy

Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner autonomously with Product Manager, Engineering Leads, and executive stakeholders to influence and shape the product roadmap

Design Systems & Scale: Maintain, evolve, and scale our design system to ensure visual and functional consistency across the product

Developer Collaboration: Work side-by-side with engineers to ensure high implementation fidelity and smooth handoffs

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience crafting complex digital products (ideally in B2B SaaS or professional tool suites).

User-Centred Craft: Deep expertise in UI/UX design, interaction design, and visual polish with a strong portfolio showcasing complex workflows made simple.

Research-Led Mindset: Proven track record of engaging directly with users to gather insights, validate hypotheses, and iterate based on feedback.

AI-Forward Approach: Practical experience or strong enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools in your design workflow (e.g., prototyping, research synthesis, etc).

Influence & Communication: Outstanding ability to articulate design decisions clearly and build consensus without relying on hierarchy.

Adaptability: Comfort operating in fast-moving environments and navigating complex stakeholder feedback gracefully.

Ways of Working

We’re a small, talent-dense team, that values ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration where everyone takes ownership. Decisions are made through dialogue and alignment, and we value curiosity, continuous learning, and thoughtful problem-solving.

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll have the freedom to define and drive user experience improvements, mentor other team members, and make a tangible impact on how our product is used by professional chefs every day.

We encourage experimentation, idea-sharing, and close collaboration with developers and product managers to deliver elegant, intuitive, and high-quality experiences.

This position is not suited for a remote position. To enable customer itneractions and better discussions with team members we expect this role to be physically present in our office or customer locations.

How to Apply

We review applications on an ongoing basis, so please send your CV and relevant work (portfolio, shipped products, or case studies).

We care more about how you think, design, and deliver user experiences than about the number of years you’ve worked.

We look forward to hearing from you!
