Building AI keeps getting cheaper and faster. Deciding what's worth building, and getting an organisation to actually commit to it, does not.
At Heyra, we build AI systems, workflows and data platforms that are meant to live in production from day one. We work closely with companies that are moving quickly and need a partner who can hold both the strategic picture and the delivery reality in one head.
We're looking for a Deployment Strategist: the person the client's leadership talks to. You own the relationship and the outcome. You sit with a C-suite buyer, understand where their business is actually trying to go, and translate that into a sharp, sequenced plan for what we build and why. Then you steer a strong engineering team to make it real - without being the one in the codebase.
This is the strategic counterpart to our engineers. Where they go deep into the build, you hold the commercial and strategic frame: what problem are we really solving, what impact are we creating, in what order, and how do we get the organisation to adopt it. You're more product manager than a traditional consultant, with a strong strategic angle - closer to an Engagement Manager who's technical enough to make the right calls than a slide-deck advisor.
You'll work closely with engineers, data specialists, strategists and designers in a company where ideas move quickly and the distance from thinking to building is intentionally small.
Owning client relationships at the leadership level - being the person the C-suite trusts
Framing the real problem behind the ask, and shaping it into an engagement worth running together with our FDEs
Sequencing what gets built, in what order, and being accountable for the business value - not just the artifact
Steering engineering teams toward outcomes, translating in both directions between the client and the builders
Driving adoption: managing expectations, working with the people who have to live with the solution, and staying through the part after launch
Scoping, structuring and de-risking engagements as they evolve
Spotting where the next opportunity sits inside an account and growing it
You probably have experience with
Management consulting, change management, adoption, implementation of AI-native solutions.
Owning client or stakeholder relationships end to end, with real accountability for outcomes
Product, programme or engagement leadership in a technical environment
Being technically literate - fluent enough in data and AI to make the right calls and earn trust with both buyers and builders, without needing to write the production code yourself
Translating between business strategy and what's actually buildable
Bringing structure to ambiguous, fast-moving situations
The patience to sit with a worried manager, and the stubbornness to stay until adoption actually lands
Curiosity, taste and the way you think matter just as much to us as specific tools or years of experience. We hire for the who, not the what - experience is an indicator of perspective, not a deciding factor for how senior a role you'll play here. We're hiring across levels and shape the role around the person.
At Heyra, we believe consulting needs to be rewritten. We're building a consultancy designed for the agentic era. We design, build, and operate AI products that change how enterprises work - from problem to prototype to production.
We care deeply about craft, speed and building things that work in the real world.
Heyra brings together people from engineering, strategy, product, startup and creative environments. We keep teams small, collaboration close and momentum high.

We're around 50 people today after merging with Pyne, and we're only just getting started.
If owning how AI engagements get framed, sold and landed at Heyra sounds like your kind of work, send us a short note about yourself together with your CV. We care much more about curiosity, energy and the way you think than polished applications.
