E-commerce Growth Manager – Shopify & AI

Salary Competitive

Maternity Cover | October/November 2026 – December 2027 | Potential for a permanent role

We’re looking for a commercially driven and tech-savvy E-commerce Growth Manager to take ownership of our webshop and help us accelerate our online growth.

This is not a role focused primarily on keeping the webshop running. We’re looking for someone who constantly asks:

How can we sell more? How can we improve the customer journey? And how can technology and AI help us get there faster?

Your most important KPI is online sales growth. You’re the kind of person who wants to check yesterday’s sales before almost anything else — understand why we’re up or down, spot the opportunities and do something about them.

And the last part is important: you need to be able to execute.

We’re looking for someone who has already played a meaningful role in successfully growing an e-commerce business — and who can take an opportunity from idea to implementation, rather than relying on someone else to make it happen.

Your role

You’ll take commercial ownership of our Shopify webshop and continuously look for ways to increase revenue, conversion, average order value and customer retention — both in our existing markets and through international online growth.

You’ll have significant freedom to test, build and improve, including:

  • Identifying and executing new e-commerce growth opportunities

  • Conversion rate optimisation and experimentation

  • Commercial campaigns, product launches and merchandising

  • Improving customer journeys, landing pages, upselling and cross-selling

  • Using data and customer behaviour to turn insights into action

  • Identifying and developing opportunities in new international markets

  • Improving and developing our Shopify setup

  • Finding, evaluating and implementing the right Shopify apps and other tools

  • Using AI and automation to improve both growth and efficiency

  • Ensuring our webshop and technical setup run smoothly

We want someone who enjoys going from opportunity → idea → implementation → measurement → improvement.

Commercial AND technical

The combination is essential — but commercial growth comes first.

You understand what makes customers buy and naturally think about sales, conversion and growth. At the same time, you have the technical capabilities to implement many of the improvements you identify yourself.

You’ll be responsible for our Shopify theme and onsite experience, so you should be confident working hands-on with the Shopify Customizer and theme code. You can build and adapt homepage, product and collection page layouts, work with custom templates and sections, and make theme-level customisations yourself.

You don’t need to be a full-stack developer, but you should have a practical understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Shopify Liquid and how they work within Shopify’s theme architecture. Experience using Shopify’s AI-powered tools — and AI-assisted coding more broadly — to build, modify and troubleshoot custom sections is a strong advantage.

When you see an opportunity, your instinct shouldn’t be to write a brief and wait for someone else to build it. You should be able to investigate the options, find the right solution and get most things implemented yourself.

Sometimes that means changing the theme. Sometimes it means configuring Shopify, finding the right app or SaaS tool, using AI-assisted coding or building an automation. And for larger development projects, it means knowing what needs to be built and working effectively with a developer.

We value people who make things happen.

AI should be part of how you work

We’re looking for an advanced and highly curious AI user.

For you, AI goes far beyond generating copy. You use it to analyse data, research markets and competitors, solve technical problems, code, automate workflows, generate and test ideas, and move from idea to execution faster.

The tools will change quickly. What matters is that you understand which AI tools and models to use for a particular problem — and how to turn them into real business value.

We think you’ll thrive in this role if you...

  • Have proven experience growing sales in a meaningful e-commerce business

  • Can point to concrete commercial results you’ve helped create

  • Have strong hands-on Shopify experience

  • Think naturally in revenue, conversion, AOV, retention and customer behaviour

  • Are technically strong, resourceful and able to implement solutions yourself

  • Know how to evaluate, select and implement Shopify apps and third-party tools

  • Are comfortable with analytics, tracking, integrations and experimentation

  • Use AI extensively and practically in your everyday work

  • Are excited about international e-commerce and growing into new markets

  • Take ownership from opportunity to implementation to measurable result

You might currently be an E-commerce Manager, Growth Manager, E-commerce Specialist, CRO Specialist — or have another background entirely.

Maybe you’ve helped scale a Shopify business from the inside. Maybe you’ve built and run an e-commerce business yourself.

What matters is that you’ve done it for real, achieved meaningful results and know how to execute — not just advise.

More than a maternity cover?

The position starts in October/November 2026 and runs until the end of 2027, covering our E-commerce Manager’s maternity leave.

But we’re not looking for someone simply to maintain what already exists.

We have a strong technical and systems foundation. Now we want to add an even stronger focus on commercial growth, international expansion, conversion, experimentation and AI.

If you can demonstrate that this focus creates meaningful incremental sales, there may be an opportunity to shape a permanent Growth Manager role after the maternity-cover period.

Your mission is simple: grow our online business — and have the skills to make it happen.
