Commercial Student Assistant – Outbound Sales (AI Startup)

Salary Competitive

Job Title

B2B SaaS Commercial Student Assistant, AI Startup

Study Level

Late bachelor or master’s student

Job Description

Costile is looking for a commercial student assistant to help us build our first outbound sales motion.

Costile is an early-stage AI software company based in Denmark. We help companies understand and control AI agent spend. When an AI agent starts burning money because of loops, retries, wrong model usage, or unclear ownership, Costile shows what happened, who owns it, what it costs, and what should be fixed.

You will work directly with the founder on commercial research, outreach, and early customer conversations. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants practical startup experience in B2B SaaS, AI, sales, and go-to-market.

What You Will Do

  • Research relevant companies using AI agents, automation, customer support AI, or high AI/API usage.

  • Find and qualify relevant contacts such as founders, CTOs, AI leads, operations leads, finance owners, and compliance stakeholders.

  • Prepare lead lists with company context, contact details, and a short reason why Costile may be relevant.

  • Send approved outreach messages by email and LinkedIn.

  • Make structured cold calls to selected companies.

  • Track outreach activity, replies, objections, and booked meetings.

  • Help improve messaging based on what prospects actually respond to.

  • Book qualified meetings for the founder.

What You Will Learn

  • How to sell an early-stage B2B SaaS product.

  • How to research and qualify companies.

  • How to write and test outbound messaging.

  • How to speak with technical and commercial buyers.

  • How AI infrastructure, cost control, and governance are bought by companies.

  • How a startup builds its first repeatable sales motion from scratch.

Who You Are

  • You are a late bachelor or master’s student, ideally at CBS or a similar business-focused programme.

  • You are curious about startups, B2B sales, SaaS, AI, or commercial strategy.

  • You are comfortable writing professional English.

  • You are willing to call people and learn from rejection.

  • You are structured and can keep a simple CRM or spreadsheet updated.

  • You do not need previous sales experience, but you should be reliable, direct, and willing to improve quickly.

Nice To Have

  • Experience with LinkedIn research, sales, customer service, telemarketing, startups, consulting, or student organisations.

  • Interest in AI, software, finance, procurement, compliance, or enterprise technology.

  • Danish is a plus, but not required. Strong English is enough.

Pay And Hours

  • DKK 150/hour to start, plus holiday allowance according to Danish rules.

  • Expected workload is 6-8 hours per week, flexible around studies.

  • Paid hours are capped at 35 hours per month unless extra hours are agreed in writing in advance.

  • Bonus: DKK 250 for each qualified meeting that is booked and actually takes place, capped at DKK 1,000/month during the first two months.

Important Practical Details

You will work closely with the founder.

Most work can be done remotely, with occasional meetings in Copenhagen if useful.

You will be given approved messaging, target criteria, and clear weekly priorities.

You are not expected to close customers alone. Your main goal is to create qualified conversations.

Working at
Costile

Costile is an AI agent diagnostic proxy for teams building production AI workflows. As companies start using AI agents for support, research, coding, internal operations, and automation, they run into a new kind of infrastructure problem: the agent may technically work, but nobody knows when it is wasting money, looping, retrying badly, using the wrong model, or silently drifting outside expected cost behavior. Most teams can see their total AI bill after the fact. That is too late. What they need is operational visibility into which agent caused the spend, what pattern caused it, how severe it is, and what action should be taken. Costile sits between a company’s AI agents and model providers such as Anthropic. It routes requests through a proxy, logs only metadata such as model, tokens, cost, timestamps, agent ID, session ID, and stop reason, and turns that metadata into diagnostics. Prompts and responses are not stored. The product shows teams a command-center view of their AI agents: which agents are healthy, which are critical, what they spent in the selected time window, and what issue is driving the risk. When an agent is flagged, Costile gives a diagnostic report with the incident window, request log, baseline comparison, projected monthly exposure, and recommended fix. The problem we are solving is not just “AI is expensive.” The deeper problem is that AI agents are becoming autonomous software systems, but companies are still monitoring them like simple API calls. A bad agent loop, retry cascade, model-routing mistake, or runaway request can create cost, reliability, and governance risk before anyone notices. Costile helps engineering, product, and operations teams answer three questions quickly: What is going wrong? Which agent or session caused it? What should we do now? The initial product focuses on AI cost diagnostics, haywire detection, alerts, audit logs, API key management, and enterprise-ready reporting. Over time, Costile can become the observability and control layer for AI agent operations.
