Technical Support Specialist - US Operations

Salary Competitive

You will be a person our US members and our US care team turn to when something does not work. Not a ticket queue - a problem solver with real access to the systems and real authority to fix things.

What the job actually is

Embla runs on software we built ourselves: Emblazer, our clinical OS for coaches / doctors / nurses, and the member app that thousands of people open every day. When a coach cannot see a member's data, when a member cannot log their medication, when an integration goes quiet - you are the first line, and often the last.

That means:

  • Supporting US members and US-based staff across chat, email and the occasional call

  • Getting deeply fluent in our internal systems - not surface-level, but genuinely knowing how they work

  • Diagnosing issues, resolving what you can, and writing up what you cannot so engineering can act on it fast

  • Spotting the patterns behind repeat tickets and pushing for the fix instead of the workaround

  • Building the documentation and tooling that makes the next person's job easier

The timezone, honestly

All our customers are on US time. If you are based in Denmark, that means a couple of late days a week at the office. We are not going to pretend otherwise. In exchange you get real flexibility on everything else - your mornings are yours, and we mean it.

Who this is for

  • You like problems more than you like process. A weird bug is a good day.

  • You use AI as a matter of course. Not as a novelty, but as the thing you reach for when you need to understand a log, draft a reply, or work out what a system is doing. If you are still deciding how you feel about AI tools, this is not the role.

  • You are comfortable not knowing yet. Our systems are ours, so nobody arrives already knowing them. What matters is how fast you get good.

  • You write clearly. Half this job is explaining a technical thing to someone who is having a bad day.

  • You are calm with people. Our members are in the middle of something difficult and personal. Patience is not optional.

Formal support experience helps, but we care more about how you think than where you have worked.

What you get

A very experienced team. The core of this company has built startups together for more than ten years - the same people, several companies, a lot of scar tissue and very little drama. You will not be figuring things out alone.

Genuinely flexible conditions, real ownership of your area, and a short path from "this is broken" to "this is fixed" - because the people who can fix it are sitting right there. We still fell young by heart, but we are closing in on 35 - 40 years of age. The team is fairly small, and we are all working out of the same office in Copenhagen.

Working at
Embla

Most weight loss programs treat a complex problem as a simple one. We don't. Weight is shaped by genetics, hormones, habits, psychology, relationships and the life you actually live. Embla builds care around all of it - medication as the starting point, structured behavioural coaching and a dedicated care team as the thing that makes it last. We started as a weight loss clinic in Copenhagen. Today our method is published, presented internationally and delivered across continents, with results among the strongest in the field. Our focus now is the United States, where our teams travel across the country to build the partnerships that put this care in front of the people who need it. Who you'd be working with Engineers, designers and data people, sitting alongside doctors, nurses, health coaches and psychologists. Not as a service function - as the same team. Clinicians shape the product. Engineers sit in on care discussions. You will ship things that a coach uses on Monday and a member feels on Tuesday. We are ambitious about outcomes and relaxed about everything else. Direct feedback, low ego, high trust, and a real sense of humour about the hard days. Where we're going Treating obesity is where we started. Preventing it is where this goes. The same care model that reverses metabolic disease can stop it from taking hold in the first place, and that is the future we are building towards - a healthier one, at a scale that actually moves the numbers. Obesity care is being rebuilt right now, and most of what gets built will be thin. We are going the other way. The molecule is the starting point. The care is the medicine. Come build it with us.
