Job Description

We are looking for a Unity Developer Intern to help us build and improve our Unity-based application.

You will primarily work on the development of the Unity application. Your main tasks will involve creating user interfaces, implementing UI interactions, and connecting the interface to an existing REST API. • Develop and maintain UI features in Unity.

  • Create responsive and intuitive user interfaces.

  • Implement UI interactions and application flow.

  • Integrate existing REST API endpoints into the application.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured C# code.

  • Participate in discussions about implementation and software design.

What we're looking for

  • Experience with C# and Unity.

  • Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

  • Familiarity with software design principles such as SOLID.

  • Interest in writing clean, maintainable code.

  • Ability to work independently while asking questions when needed.

This internship is well suited for a university student who wants practical experience developing a real Unity application in a small and collaborative team. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of features, receive regular feedback, and strengthen your skills in Unity development, software architecture, and professional development practices.

Practical info

It is a requirement that you are able to work a majority of days at our office in Copenhagen.

The internship is 37 hours a week and will run from early September 2026 to mid-December 2026.

This is an unpaid internship, but lunch, coffee, and snacks at the office are on us.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

VR-based Avatar Therapy combines psychology and VR technology to provide transformative interventions for mental health disorders. Grounded in research, this therapy utilises virtual reality and avatars to create immersive experiences. Through the concept of embodiment, individuals psychologically connect with their avatars, leading to significant changes in thoughts and behaviours. In schizophrenia, Avatar Therapy helps patients gain control over auditory hallucinations, but Avatar Therapy holds promise for improving mental health outcomes among patients with Eating Disorders, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, Borderline disorder, Major Depressive Disorder and many more. Heka VR was born through a public-private partnership and research project called The Challenge Trial - initiated in 2019, funded by the Danish Innovation Fund and with the final research results published in The Lancet Psychiatry in July 2025.
