About Yaay

We're building the taste layer for the physical world: the app that knows what you actually love and turns it into places to go.

Today: See it. Save it. Do it.

  • Spot a place on social, save it in one tap, and our AI finds the exact spot, pins it to your map, and helps you plan and book it.

Where we're going

  • The app you open to go out in your own city with your friends, that inspires and pushes you into the world, and that truly feels social.

Our product philosophy

  • AI is the engine, not the show. We use it heavily, but users don't need to know or care. It's hidden and helpful, never flashy for its own sake.

  • We kill choice overload. People are drowning in options. We get them to the right one while feeling confident they're not missing something better.

  • Complex inside, dead simple outside. Features can be intricate behind the scenes, but should always feel effortless to use.

  • Convention over configuration. The common case is the happy path, with an escape hatch for when you need more control.

  • Validate, but trust the vision. We test product decisions with real signals, and we hold our nerve on the long-term direction we believe in.

About the role

  • Part-time (1.5 to 2 days/week) with the potential to grow into full-time as Yaay scales

  • You'll work side by side with our founders, Christian (CTO) and Anders (CEO), reporting to Christian

  • Highly collaborative, so we ask you to be in our Copenhagen office on your working days, at least while we build momentum together

What you'll do

  • Help shape Yaay's product vision through your UX and consumer instincts

  • Move fast from napkin sketches to quick mockups that let us explore ideas out loud

  • Take the promising concepts deeper into detailed designs and flows

  • Spar with our engineers as they carry designs into implementation

What we're looking for

  • Experience designing in the mobile space, ideally for consumer products

  • A strong grasp of user psychology and how to nudge people toward the right behaviors

  • A real passion for travel, and an understanding that everyone travels differently

  • Someone who loves iterating quickly and thrives without a task list handed to them

Why Yaay

  • An early, pivotal seat at an ambitious startup taking on travel and leisure, a space that touches almost everyone

  • Real autonomy inside a flat, joyful team

  • Room to grow with the role as the company grows

A note on fit: We keep a relaxed hierarchy and high expectations at the same time. If you're excited to push hard and help make Yaay a success, you'll fit right in. If you're after a calm nine-to-five, this probably isn't the one.
