Our first commercial hire. Onboard, activate, and grow customers, then build the engine that does it at scale.
Reports to: Brian Kyed, GTM & Co-founder
For the last decade, knowledge work drifted away from its original promise. It was supposed to be about thinking, creating, deciding. Instead it became status meetings, reporting, alignment rituals, and busywork.
AI changes that. But the speed has created a new problem: the individual got faster than the organization. More and more work happens inside sessions between humans and agents, and the context behind that work disappears before anyone else in the company can see it.
Palette is the shared context layer for teams and AI. We ingest signals from the tools teams already use (Slack, Linear, Notion, GitHub, calendar, email), turn them into a living map of the organization, and serve that context to the agents people work with every day.
Palette Desktop is the app where teams put that context to work. Point it at a folder your team shares on Google Drive or Dropbox, and run agents on Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral, or a local model inside it. More providers ship in regularly. It opens those agents up to the whole company, including non-engineers, and the team picks the model that fits. We shipped Desktop in May, and it's already where most of our own work happens.
We're 6 people in Copenhagen. Four co-founders, two founding engineers. We work with design partners across leading startups, scaleups, and household-name brands. We recently raised our pre-seed and are now bringing on our first commercial hire.
You'll work alongside Brian (cofounder, GTM) on how we get customers to real value. This is a builder role: you sit on calls with our first customers, help them set up their workspaces, write the playbook as you go, and turn the same conversation we'd otherwise have fifty times into a process anyone can pick up.
We're looking for a hands-on commercial generalist who genuinely likes helping customers succeed, and who'd rather build the system that scales it than run the same play forever.
This is a founding role. You'll define how Palette grows. You'll be the human face of Palette for our first customers. The trust you build with them is the foundation everything else here rests on.
Ownership at Palette rotates with the projects and focus, so you'll have weight across all of this:
Customer activation, end to end. From signup to first real value for non-engineers using powerful agents.
Retention. Customers sticking around and finding more value over time. This is one of the most important things to accomplish.
The activation playbook. The system the next ten customers can follow without us in the room.
A scalable PLG engine. Email flows, onboarding docs, in-product nudges. The product-led side of the motion.
Community. Where users help each other, and where we learn what's actually working.
Customer voice. The signal we feed back to the product team.
Events. Setting up and running meetups, workshops, and design partner dinners. The kind that pull our customers and prospects into the same room as us.
Champions. Customers who not only stay, but actively tell others about Palette. The ones who'd take a Loom you sent them and forward it to a friend.
A week could include:
Helping a customer set up their workspace and folders so their agents have the right context.
Jumping on a call with their team when they're stuck, walking them through what to do.
Writing the email flow that gets the next hundred signups activated.
Recording a Loom for one customer, cutting it into a guide a hundred others can use.
Sitting in the community channel and answering the questions people are asking.
Finding a customer who's getting real value, asking how, writing it up so the next ten figure it out faster.
Sitting down with the founders to figure out the next move. Which campaign to run, what to ship, where to focus next.
Hands-on at the start, a system by the end.
Curious about AI. You play around with it, test new things, and want to know how it actually works.
Into how teams structure their work. CLAUDE.md, folder layouts, the way agents need context. If that already excites you, this role probably will too.
Self-driven. We give people room to run with things, and you'd thrive on that.
A people person. You actually enjoy jumping on a quick call to help someone work through what they're stuck on.
You follow up without being reminded. When a customer goes quiet, you check in. When a thread needs a next step, you set it.
A creative problem-solver. When there's no playbook for a customer, you come up with one. When a situation is vague, you scope it down and ship something.
Energized by others' wins. When it clicks for a customer, or when a team you're helping ships something they couldn't before, that's the part you're here for.
Motivated. We care about what we're building, and you would too. Founder ambitions are a plus.
Background is open. You could be 1-3 years in or 5+, and you could come from customer success, community, ops, content, or something we wouldn't guess. We care more about your mindset and how you've solved things than what's on your resume.
You've done early-stage customer success or community work.
You've helped a team actually adopt new tools.
You've written publicly about working with AI.
Copenhagen office. Mostly in person, but around two days from home every week.
We aim to stay a small and lean team.
We're all doers and care about our craftsmanship.
We're constantly exploring what AI-native means to us.
We're obsessed with making something people actually want to use, therefore everyone at the company talks to customers regularly.
We're calling this role "Founding customer lead." It could be called many things: Founding GTM, First commercial hire, Founding customer success, Customer success engineer, Customer activator, Founding growth. The work is parts of all of them.
Location. Copenhagen. Office-default.
Type. Full-time.
Work authorization. Authorized to work in Denmark, or willing to relocate. We can help with the latter.
Comp. Competitive salary plus potential early-stage equity.
Benefits. Standard Danish setup, plus the gear you need and a budget for the AI tools you want to use. Nothing fancy.
Send us your CV and a few words (in your own words) on why you think this role and Palette would be a fit.
Then feel free to use AI as creatively as possible to show us who you are: a project you're proud of, an audit, an idea for us, or anything else that signals why you'd thrive here. Add it as a link to the application. Go creative.
