Are you passionate about keeping ambitious ecommerce projects on track and making complex deliveries feel effortless for both clients and teams? At Mercive, we are looking for a structured and proactive Project Coordinator to join our growing team in Copenhagen. If you thrive at the intersection of planning, communication, and execution and enjoy being the person who makes things actually happen, this role might be for you.
Mercive is a fast-growing ecommerce agency based in Copenhagen. We build digital commerce experiences through strategy, design, and technology. We partner with some of the most ambitious brands in fashion, lifestyle, and DTC, helping them scale across markets, channels, and complexity. Whether it is launching loyalty programs, enabling international growth, or migrating platforms, our work lives at the intersection of ecommerce, tech, and creativity.
We believe AI is fundamentally changing how ecommerce operates, from how we work internally to how we help clients grow. We're actively integrating AI into our workflows and client projects, not as a gimmick, but as a serious multiplier for quality and speed.
As a Project Coordinator, you will be a part of the operational backbone of our client projects, making sure work flows smoothly across our team and that clients always feel informed and in good hands. You will own your own timelines, project planning, and day-to-day coordination across multiple projects in parallel, while also acting as a key point of contact for clients on status, scope, and next steps.
You will work closely with developers, designers, consultants, and specialists internally, as well as project owners and stakeholders on the client side. On larger engagements like platform migrations or loyalty program rollouts, you will be the person keeping everything aligned, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks, and that we deliver on what we promised.
Your responsibilities will include:
Owning project plans, timelines, and sprint cycles across multiple client engagements in parallel
Coordinating internal teams of developers, designers, and consultants to ensure work is prioritized, scoped, and delivered on time
Acting as a day-to-day point of contact for clients on project status, scope changes, and upcoming deliverables
Running weekly status meetings, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives with both internal teams and clients
Maintaining clear documentation of decisions, scope, risks, and dependencies across projects
Tracking budgets, hours, and project profitability, flagging risks early to internal leads and clients
Managing scope conversations with clients, including change requests, prioritization, and trade-offs
Supporting larger projects like platform migrations by coordinating workstreams across data migration, design, development, and QA
Ensuring smooth handovers between phases (discovery, build, launch, post-launch support)
Driving continuous improvement of our internal project management processes, templates, and tooling
Exploring and adopting AI tools to improve how you work, whether that's automating status reporting, speeding up documentation, or finding smarter ways to coordinate across projects
You bring structure to chaos and stay composed when things get messy. You anticipate problems before they surface and act on them early. You lead client conversations with confidence and step in to unblock the team whenever needed. You know that great project coordination is built on communication, prioritization, and trust.
You are:
Highly organized and able to keep many moving parts in your head without losing track
Proactive and comfortable driving projects forward independently
A strong communicator who can adapt tone and detail level depending on the audience
Commercially minded and aware that projects need to be both well-delivered and profitable
Comfortable having difficult conversations about scope, timelines, and trade-offs
Tech-savvy enough to understand what developers and designers are actually doing
Curious and constantly looking to improve how things are done, including through AI and automation
Someone who sees AI as a practical tool, not a buzzword, and is eager to figure out where it adds real value
1–3 years experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Producer, Operations Manager, or similar role, ideally in an agency or ecommerce environment
Proven track record of running multiple projects in parallel and keeping both internal teams and clients aligned
Hands-on experience with project management tools like Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar
Understanding of agile and sprint-based ways of working
Experience working alongside developers and designers on digital projects
Familiarity with Shopify or other ecommerce platforms is a plus
Experience coordinating platform migrations or larger multi-workstream projects is a plus
Familiarity with AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) or a strong willingness to learn
Strong communication skills in English (Danish is a plus)
A chance to work with some of the most exciting ecommerce brands in the Nordics
A talented and ambitious team that moves fast and supports each other
Central office location in Copenhagen
Flexibility and responsibility from day one
Focus on development through feedback, sparring, and learning opportunities
Monthly team events and social activities
Daily lunch at the Restaurant Lalala
Friday bars & fun social events
25 paid vacation days per year
Beautiful office located by the water at Christianshavn
Paid inspiration trips (events, conferences, etc).
