We are looking for a hands-on Sales Director to own and drive revenue growth at Hopp Tech. This is not a purely strategic role: the Sales Director’s primary responsibility is to personally drive revenue through the full sales cycle - from generating and qualifying leads, through discovery and negotiation, to closing - while establishing scalable sales practices as the company grows. You will lead a small sales team - one experienced salesperson today, with a student hire joining shortly - and act as the commercial role model, shaping its growth from there. The role offers significant autonomy and full ownership of how results are achieved. Your mission: build revenue now, by execution and example, while laying the foundation for a scalable sales organization. KEY
Own and execute the full sales cycle end-to-end, from structured lead generation through qualification, negotiation, and closing Sell software licenses and related services to SMB and enterprise customers
Define and execute the sales strategy, refining processes, tools, and best practices in alignment with company growth targets
Lead by example and coach the existing sales employee through hands-on deal execution 1 / 2
Ensure consistent and disciplined use of CRM, forecasting, and pipeline management
Work closely with the COO and operations team on demos, technical clarifications, and contract execution
Provide market and customer feedback to support product and go-to-market development
Proven experience in B2B software or solution sales, with a strong track record of closing complex, consultative deals
Demonstrated ability to generate leads, not just manage inbound opportunities
Comfortable balancing hands-on selling with sales leadership responsibilities
Experience operating in small, growing sales teams or early-stage environments
Structured, data-driven approach to pipeline and sales execution
High emotional intelligence, active listening, and customer empathy
Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to personally drive execution
