We build industrial intelligence software for heavy-asset sectors. As a KONGSBERG company backed by over 200 years of heritage, Falkor helps the energy, chemicals, utilities and other industrial sectors operate with absolute clarity, confidence, and control.
Our AI-enabled platform connects people, systems, and workflows—expanding human capability by turning complex data into real-time, actionable decisions. We help leading organizations improve safety, efficiency and performance while redefining how heavy assets are designed and operated.
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join the Platform team within our Industrial Intelligence product area. You will play a key role in designing, building, and operating a modern, cloud‑native, AI‑ready platform that supports data‑intensive and AI‑enabled services in production.
This is a hands‑on senior engineering role with high autonomy and ownership. You will work closely with product, data, and software engineering teams to ensure the platform is reliable, scalable, secure, and easy to operate over time. The role is intended for engineers who are motivated by long‑term platform evolution and building strong foundations for future AI‑driven capabilities.

Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi, Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates)
Operate and optimise Kubernetes platforms (AKS) in production
Own platform reliability, performance, security, and cost efficiency
Share responsibility for platform stability and operational health, contributing to prevention, analysis, and continuous improvement
Maintain clear, practical technical documentation and operational runbooks
Kubernetes & container platforms
Manage container orchestration using Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and network configuration
Package and deploy workloads using Helm
Troubleshoot platform‑level issues related to containers and orchestration
Support data‑intensive platform components and stateful services at infrastructure level
AI‑ready & data‑intensive workloads
Enable AI‑ready platform capabilities for inference‑heavy and data‑intensive services
Support GPU‑enabled workloads where required, including scheduling, isolation, and cost awareness
Design platform patterns suitable for high‑throughput and low‑latency services
Work closely with data and application teams to translate workload needs into robust platform solutions
Monitoring, observability & operations
Implement and maintain monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Tempo, or similar tools
Build and evolve logging and telemetry pipelines to improve operational insight
Reduce operational noise and improve system understanding through telemetry‑driven analysis
Security & platform guardrails
Apply security‑by‑design principles at platform level, including IAM, RBAC, network policies, and workload isolation
Provide default platform capabilities for logging, traceability, and controlled access
Ensure platform safeguards are pragmatic, scalable, and non‑blocking
CI/CD & automation
Integrate platform capabilities with CI/CD and GitOps workflows
Experience with tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Argo CD, or Flux
Promote automation‑first approaches across platform operations
Strong experience operating cloud‑native platforms in production
Solid hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes and Azure
Experience with Infrastructure as Code
Good understanding of platform operations, automation, and observability
Ability to write maintainable automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar)
Strong problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset
Fluency in English, written and spoken
Experience supporting AI or ML workloads in production
GPU workloads on Kubernetes
Exposure to GitOps, service mesh (e.g. Istio), or hybrid infrastructure
Background from industrial, enterprise, or regulated environments
