End-to-end owner of the volunteer experience - from recruitment and scheduling through to how volunteers feel when they leave on Sunday.
Recruit and confirm sufficient volunteers for all areas of the venue
Build and maintain the full volunteer schedule, mapping every area to coverage
Manage the volunteer WhatsApp group: primary communication channel before and during the event
Ensure all volunteers have what they need before arriving: role brief, schedule, t-shirt, food voucher, access information
On-site for build day (2 Oct): coordinate volunteer team for goodie bag sorting, setup tasks, and venue walkthrough
On-site point of contact for all volunteers across both days
Monitor volunteer coverage and morale in real time - respond to gaps, energy issues, or anything that comes up
Co-lead volunteer briefing at start of each day with Event Manager/Director
Coordinate volunteer placement for check-in execution (Event Manager owns the system; Volunteer Coordinator manages the people running it)
Works with: Event Manager, Community Manager, Speaker Coordinator, event director
