UI/UX Designer for early-stage SaaS startup

We are an early-stage SaaS startup building a digital app for businesses, and we are looking for a UI/UX designer who can help us design the first version of the product.

The role is focused on the app experience, not a website. You will help us turn rough ideas and product flows into a clean, intuitive and professional app design. This includes user flows, wireframes, screens, dashboards and the general visual direction of the product.

You will work side by side with our backend developer and the two founders. This means you will have people to spar with, test ideas with and get feedback from. At the same time, you will have a lot of ownership over the design side of the product. We are not looking for someone who just follows a fixed brief. We are looking for someone who can take responsibility, think independently and help shape the app from the ground up.

We are still at an early stage, so you will have a real influence on how the app looks and feels. We want to build something that feels simple, modern and easy to use from the first version. The product should not feel overcomplicated, but it should still look sharp and trustworthy.

We are especially interested in someone who is comfortable using AI tools as part of their design process, for example to speed up ideation, prototyping, UX research, visual inspiration or workflow. That said, we still care a lot about strong design thinking, good taste and the ability to create clear, useful product experiences.

You do not need to know everything from day one. What matters most is that you are practical, creative and good at turning unclear ideas into simple app designs that users can understand.

Your tasks may include:

Designing the first version of the app in Figma
Creating user flows and wireframes
Designing desktop and mobile app screens
Helping define the visual style of the product
Improving the user experience based on feedback
Working closely with the founders and backend developer

It is a plus if you have experience with:

Figma
UI/UX design for apps or SaaS products
Dashboard design
Mobile-first design
Design systems
AI tools for design, prototyping or workflow
