At Levitate, we make high-performance prosthetic components used by amputees and veterans around the world. Our products are physical, mechanical, and used in demanding real-world conditions.
We see ourselves as much more than just a prosthetics company. We are a movement dedicated to revolutionizing the way people live, move, and thrive. While many would label our products as prosthetics, we view them as groundbreaking tools that empower individuals to take control of their lives. Whether it’s running, playing sports, or simply enjoying an active lifestyle, we are on a mission to make mobility accessible to all, regardless of financial means or restrictive policies.
Others come up with ideas. You make them work!
We are looking for a hands-on mechanical profile to join our team in Denmark and help turn ideas and existing concepts into robust, production-ready products. The focus of this role is not on long conceptual processes, but on execution, detailing, follow-through, and continuous improvement of physical products. This is for someone who enjoys detailed mechanical work and wants to take technical input and convert it into drawings, CAD, prototypes, and manufacturable solutions.
As part of the technical team, you will be responsible for turning concepts and technical input into detailed, production-ready mechanical solutions. Your work will be split between digital detailing and physical workshop tasks in three main areas:
Creating and maintaining 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
Turning concepts, sketches, and internal input into detailed mechanical solutions.
Maturing parts and assemblies from prototype stage to production-ready design.
Preparing documentation for manufacturing, assembly, and internal handover.
Maintaining BOMs, drawings, part structures, and revision control.
Updating existing designs and ensuring technical documentation stays accurate.
Building, modifying, and testing physical prototypes.
Supporting DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
Adjusting and refining existing parts based on testing, feedback, and production needs.
Following up on tolerances, fits, fastening methods, and general mechanical robustness.
Implementing new machinery, tools, and technical processes within the R&D workshop.
Sourcing components, standard parts, materials, and practical technical solutions.
Communicating with suppliers in Danish and English regarding parts and technical clarifications.
Supporting maintenance and improvement of current products and subassemblies.
This role requires someone who is comfortable taking an existing idea and carrying it forward into something that can actually be produced, documented, and maintained.
