About Ankerias Oy

Ankerias Oy is a Finnish healthtech startup focused on improving the treatment and management of chronic neuropathic pain. Chronic pain affects millions of people, yet identifying the right treatment remains challenging for clinicians and patients. At Ankerias, we are developing new digital and AI-driven approaches to support better patient identification, treatment pathways, and outcomes.

We work closely with clinicians, researchers, and healthcare providers to bring new solutions into real-world healthcare.

We are now looking for a Founding Full-Stack Engineer to take ownership of large parts of our platform and help shape its technical future.

The Role

You will take a key role in developing and evolving our technology, working directly with the CTO and founding team. The platform spans web and mobile environments, with a consistent TypeScript stack across all products. You will be a key engineer across the platform, contributing to architecture decisions, new features, reliability, and the path toward CE-marked medical software. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role in a small founding team. Impact is immediate.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and develop production products across web and mobile

• Work closely with the CTO on architecture and technical direction

• Ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability across the platform

• Support integration of AI-driven features, including a patient selection model currently in development

• Help build the foundation for regulated, CE-marked medical software

Tech Stack

• React 19 + TypeScript (web)

• React Native + Expo + TypeScript (mobile)

• Google Cloud (Firebase: Firestore, Auth, Functions, Hosting, FCM)

• EAS (Expo Application Services) for mobile builds

Ideal Background

We welcome candidates with:

• Strong experience in React and/or React Native (TypeScript)

• Experience building and maintaining production systems

• Ability to work independently and take full ownership

• Experience working in a startup or fast-moving environment

Experience or familiarity with the following is a plus:

• Healthcare or healthtech environments

• Regulatory and compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 13485, MDR, IEC 62304)

• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g. HL7 / FHIR)

• AI/ML applications in healthcare products

• Wearable devices or health data integrations

• Finnish language
