MOOW are looking for a committed, visionary, and action-oriented CEO who wants to drive significant change in the construction industry. The company is focused on developing the building materials of the future, based on willow wood – one of nature’s fastest-growing and most sustainable resources. To keep the company agile, we have chosen to outsource production, and our business model is built on licensing agreements and royalty income. The potential for growth and impact is substantial.
As our first full-time employee, you will have a unique opportunity to join as both CEO and co-founder. You will work closely with the existing owners to build the company from its early stages towards international scaling.
We are an early-stage biomaterial startup, founded by four passionate founders who remain actively involved in the project. We have already mastered the technology, secured our intellectual property, and have a clear mission. Now, we are looking for the right person to lead the company out of the development and design phase and onto the market.
The position is dynamic and versatile. Your responsibilities will include:
Defining and implementing the company’s strategic direction, ensuring progress from prototype to commercial partnerships, including sourcing and supply chain management.
Leading fundraising activities, preparing pitch decks, and liaising with potential investors.
Developing and executing an international go-to-market strategy – you will take on responsibility, but we will support you all the way.
Establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with both manufacturers and distributors.
Proactively recruiting the first key team members when the time is right.
Becoming the public face of the company, the
person whom both partners and the market associate with our brand.
Have a founder’s mindset and the ability to execute quickly and effectively.
Have experience from start-up or scale-up environments and thrive on challenges and change.
Are skilled at negotiating agreements, including B2B agreements, building relationships, and driving progress.
Understand the fundraising process and know what investors are looking for.
Are curious about biomaterials, and have some knowledge about the construction industry, or cleantech – though this is not a requirement.
Thrive with responsibility and actively seek opportunities to shape the company’s development.
The opportunity to become a co-founder and gain equity in the company.
Significant influence over the company’s strategy, culture, and future direction.
A mission that contributes positively to society and the environment.
A product with global potential and technology already making its way into the world.
You will report to the board of directors.
If you are interested, we encourage you to send your CV, LinkedIn profile, or a motivational pitch to Interim CEO Thomas Kveiborg. We are conducting interviews on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. The start date will be decided by agreement.
