Nordic Valley is a Scandinavian AI innovation hub, currently building our flagship product, Nordly. An AI-powered hiring infrastructure platform designed to help startups and SMEs discover and hire the right tech and design talent faster.
Nordly combines intelligent matching, talent profiles, and hiring workflows to make recruitment more efficient for both companies and professionals. Our goal is to help startups scale with the right teams while enabling talented people to work on projects and companies that truly excite them.
This is a hands-on internship for someone who wants genuine end-to-end experience, not peripheral tasks. You’ll work across both sides of our dual-sided platform: the employer-facing B2B product and the candidate-facing B2C experience. You’ll collaborate directly with team leads, developers, and the founding team, contributing to live design and testing work from day one.
This role suits someone who is curious, takes initiative, and is comfortable with ambiguity in an early-stage startup environment, someone eager to learn how design and product thinking come together in building real, human-centred AI products.
Design communication: Translating product vision and platform features into compelling pitch deck presentations to support fundraising and stakeholder conversations.
UX/UI design: Conducting competitive analysis to benchmark Nordly against the market and identify design opportunities. Designing user flows, wireframes, and mid-fidelity prototypes in Figma to solve design problems across both the employer-facing and candidate-facing platform. Iterating on designs based on user testing findings and developing high-fidelity prototypes ready for development. Contributing to building and maintaining the design system.
User testing: Planning and conducting user testing sessions on the live developed platform, documenting findings, identifying usability issues, and feeding insights back into the design iteration cycle.
Collaboration and handoff: Working closely with developers to bridge the gap between design and implementation. This includes preparing detailed handoff documentation in Figma, annotating components, defining interaction states, specifying spacing, typography, and behaviour, so developers have everything they need to build accurately. You’ll also support QA by reviewing the developed platform against design specs, flagging discrepancies, and communicating fixes clearly with the engineering team.
