Accounting Assistant – Crispa | AI & Fintech Startup

📍 Copenhagen, Denmark | Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Equity

🎯 The Role:

You’ll be responsible for bookkeeping, month-end closing, and financial reporting across our growing portfolio of clients. Working closely with our CEO and the rest of the team, you’ll handle the day-to-day accounting that keeps our clients’ finances clean, compliant, and up to date.

We are building our own AI-powered accounting platform. You’ll also be a key voice in shaping how our technology supports and automates accounting workflows, as well as client onboarding, ongoing communication etc. Your hands-on experience will directly inform what we build - you won’t just use the platform, you’ll play a key role in defining it.

💻 What You’ll Do:

• Bookkeeping for multiple clients - invoices, expenses, payroll, payments, reconciliation, month-end, year-end, audit preparation

• VAT reporting and other statutory filings

• Preparation of monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)

• Client communication - you’ll be a primary point of contact for day-to-day accounting matters

• Supporting the onboarding of new clients onto our platform

• Contributing to the development of our AI accounting platform by identifying and defining automation opportunities and testing new features

You’re structured, detail-oriented, and take full ownership of your work. You’re comfortable managing multiple client relationships simultaneously and thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You are excited about AI, and you do not see it as a threat to good accounting work, but as an opportunity to do better, deeper work for many more clients at the same time. You’re genuinely curious about how to leverage AI in your daily workflows, and you have already experimented with it.

✅ Requirements:

• 📊 3+ years of full-time professional experience in accounting or bookkeeping

• 🎓 A relevant education (e.g. finance, business, accounting, or similar), with strong grades

• 📝 Experience with Danish accounting systems such as e-conomic and Dinero

• 🏛️Experience with Danish statutory reporting systems (SKAT, Virk) 

• 🏢 Experience working with multiple clients or companies simultaneously

• 💬 Professional proficiency in English (Danish is a plus, not a requirement)

• 🤖 Curiosity about AI tools and a willingness to learn and adopt new technology

📍 Location

This role is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. We are an office-first company and expect you to be in the office regularly, with the flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week.
