Spirii develops world-class charging products and digital solutions for electric vehicles. Our Digital Development department fosters a listen, learn, and lead culture, allowing us to continuously improve how we work. We're looking for a hands-on Analytics Engineer to build and shape Spirii's analytics layer and data reliability practices.
Working closely with our Data Lead and domain teams, you'll implement dbt standards, data models, tests, and documentation — turning raw data in Amazon Redshift into trusted, well-governed data products across EV charging events, subscriptions, and financial transactions. This is a unique opportunity to define best practices from day one, lay the foundations for scalable transformations and consistent metrics, and help build Spirii's data culture from the ground up.
Data Modelling & dbt
Help build and shape our dbt project: structure, conventions, CI practices, environments, and release workflows.
Design and implement analytics-ready data models (e.g., staging/intermediate/marts, fact/dimension modelling) that enable self-serve analytics and reliable reporting.
Data Quality & Governance
Define and implement data quality practices together with domain teams: dbt tests, freshness checks, anomaly detection, and data contracts.
Improve data documentation, lineage, and discoverability.
Collaboration & Stakeholders
Partner with Engineering and Product teams to ensure analytics requirements are addressed upstream (events, schemas, identifiers, change management).
Collaborate with Finance and business teams to standardize metrics and eliminate inconsistent metric definitions across dashboards.
Contribute to a strong data culture in Spirii: patterns, templates, reviews, enablement, and data literacy.
Platform & Infrastructure
Support and evolve our ELT foundations: help improve ingestion reliability, orchestration, monitoring, and incident response (in collaboration with Engineering/Data Lead).
Optimize model performance and cost in Redshift.
You care deeply about data correctness and building systems humans can trust.
You're comfortable being hands-on: you ship models, tests, and improvements yourself.
You think of data models as products with consumers — you care about who uses them, for what purpose, and whether they can be trusted over time.
You collaborate well across teams and can drive alignment on definitions and ownership.
You're excited to help define what makes a metric canonical and move away from metrics defined ad-hoc in dashboards.
You're pragmatic: you know when to implement a robust standard and when to keep it lean.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or software engineering with a strong data focus.
Strong SQL skills and demonstrated experience building analytics models.
Solid dbt experience (core patterns, project structuring, tests, documentation, and deployment practices).
Experience with a modern data warehouse (Redshift preferred; BigQuery/Snowflake also relevant).
Comfortable with at least one programming language used in data work (Python preferred).
Solid understanding of ELT/ETL concepts and some hands-on experience improving pipelines, reliability, or orchestration.
Familiar with data governance concepts (access control, PII handling, GDPR-minded practices).
Experience working with BI tools and stakeholders to define consistent metrics.
Experience setting up data observability tooling (or implementing monitoring patterns around dbt runs, freshness, volume, distribution changes).
Experience with event/data contract patterns in product analytics (schemas, versioning, instrumentation).
Experience with finance data and/or subscription/transaction domains.
Experience with IaC (Terraform/CDK), and/or CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
Machine learning experience is a plus, but not required for this role.
