Copyright Agent seeking CEO with co-founder potential

The Company

Copyright Agent is a Copenhagen-based legal-tech company that protects the rights of content creators at scale. Using machine learning and proprietary detection technology, we identify unauthorized use of images across the internet and manage enforcement on behalf of the world’s leading photo agencies and media houses. Our mission is simple: creators should be recognized and fairly compensated when their work is used.

Founded in 2016, Copyright Agent recently merged with Visual Rights Group (VRG), creating the largest player in copyright protection across the Nordics and Benelux, with offices in Denmark, Belgium, the UK, and the US. The combined group operates across 16 markets and serves some of the most recognized names in the image and media industry.

The Role

We are looking for a CEO to lead Copyright Agent through its next phase of growth. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is commercially driven, internationally experienced, and motivated by building a profitable, scalable business.

You will shape the company’s strategic direction together with an engaged and supportive board, drive revenue growth, and take full operational responsibility. You will lead a team with deep domain expertise in the industry, technology, legal, and operations.

Your Mandate

Growth & Profitability

• Set clear priorities and focus the business on its strongest revenue and margin drivers

• Personally engage in sales and build a repeatable, scalable commercial engine

• Evolve the business model where needed to improve unit economics

• Strengthen partner contracts and commercial relationships

Strategic Positioning

• Reposition the company and product offering for long-term value creation

• Align product and go-to-market strategy with market logic and buyer needs

• Build a company that is attractive to partners, clients, and potential investors

Leadership & Operations

• Lead with clarity, pace, and accountability

• Simplify operations and drive efficiency

• Build an organization ready to scale

  
  

Your Profile

• Proven track record of revenue growth with improving profitability

• Proven B2B sales expertise with the ability to design and lead a high-performing sales organization 

• Startup or scale-up experience – you know what it takes to build, not just manage

• International experience operating across multiple markets; strong language skills

• Embraces new technology, including AI, as a competitive advantage

• Entrepreneurial mindset – genuinely motivated by equity and long-term value creation

• Will challenge the status quo: products, model, assumptions

  
  

Experience from media, tech, IP rights & protection or adjacent industries is an advantage.

Compensation

Competitive salary with bonus and significant equity participation via stocks and warrants.
