athme is building a category-defining app for real-world sports and social connection.

Our platform makes it easy to discover activities, join games, and build communities through movement. We are creating a product with the potential to change how people connect, stay active, and build meaningful relationships through sport.

We are looking for a strong Full Stack Developer who wants to help build and scale that product with us.

The role

This role is ideal for a developer who combines strong technical execution with product thinking, ownership, and high standards. You will work closely with the founders and product team to build, improve, and scale core parts of the athme platform.

You should be comfortable working across both frontend and backend, moving quickly when needed, and making thoughtful technical decisions in an early-stage environment.

What you will do

• Build and maintain features across the full stack of the athme platform.

• Develop high-quality mobile product experiences using React Native.

• Build and improve backend services, APIs, and business logic using Node.js.

• Work with MongoDB to design, manage, and optimize data models and application performance.

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and founders to turn ideas into shipped features.

• Help improve code quality, system reliability, and development workflows.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the technical foundation as we scale.

• Take ownership of problems from idea to implementation.

What we are looking for

• Mid to senior level experience in full stack development.

• Strong experience with React Native, Node.js, and MongoDB.

• Ability to build end-to-end features independently and with high attention to quality.

• Solid understanding of API design, backend structure, database modeling, and scalable application architecture.

• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities.

• Strong ownership, initiative, and problem-solving ability.

• Product mindset and the ability to balance speed, quality, and user impact.

• Startup experience is a plus.

• Experience with mobile-first consumer products, social products, or marketplace platforms is a plus.
