About the role & The team

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Design to build the central governance, regulation, and compliance workflows in Formalize. You will handle the complex technical challenges of our core platform, ensuring our patterns are robust enough for global scale while acting as a key contributor to the team.

This role starts at 46,000 DKK per month and can grow up to 52,000 DKK as you develop. You’ll be part of our structured career framework, which includes regular performance reviews. As you build skills, take on new responsibilities and progress in your role, your salary grows with you. What you will do

• Implement complex GRC workflows, ensuring our compliance engine remains flexible and secure even when handling intricate regulatory requirements.

• Develop logic-heavy features for risk management and governance modules that serve as the foundation of our platform.

• Participate actively in technical discussions, sharing ideas and providing high-level feedback during code reviews.

• Ensure code reliability and performance through thorough testing and by maintaining a high standard for long-term system maintainability.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Design to evaluate feature feasibility and define the most efficient technical implementations.

• Proactively identify and resolve technical debt, ensuring the structural integrity of our core compliance logic.

What you bring

• Professional experience in a Software Engineering role, with solid fundamentals in object-oriented programming and common design patterns.

• The ability to discuss technical solutions clearly and participate actively in team-wide technical sessions.

• Experience with at least one server-side language (we work with PHP) and a modern frontend framework (we use Angular).

• A curiosity for Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and an interest in building for a global scale.

• Good testing practices and familiarity with automated testing frameworks.
