The Role

As an Accounting & Finance Associate , you will play a crucial role in our financial reporting processes. You will work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure accurate financial data & compliance. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with exceptional accounting knowledge & Excel skills and a passion for working in a fast-paced startup environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage & support the full month-end close process

  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

  • Manage revenue recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards

  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations

  • Maintain general ledger integrity and supporting schedules

  • Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities

  • VAT handling & reporting

  • Support preparation of financial statements

  • Assist Director of Finance with Audit, R&D credits & communication with external consultants.

  • Build and maintain Excel-based financial models to support budgeting, analysis  & forecasting with the Director of Finance

  • Identify and implement process improvements and internal controls


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Auditor certification is a plus.

  • 5+ years of accounting or financial management experience, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AI

  • Experience with accounting softwares (e.g., Light or similar).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to analyze financial information clearly and effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a startup environment, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities.

  • Familiarity with multi-entity accounting, including intercompany reconciliations and consolidations.

  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements, good to have US, UK knowledge.
