As our new Account Director – Senior Renewable Energy Advisor, you will take on a key commercial leadership role at Reel. Working closely with Anders (CCO & Co-founder) and Martin (VP of Sales), you will help shape and scale our sales initiatives in Denmark and drive impact at the heart of the renewable energy transition.
You’ll be leading strategic client engagements with medium, large and enterprise-level Danish companies, advising them on cost-effective and climate-friendly electricity solutions. Your responsibilities include managing complex sales processes, cultivating relationships with C-level stakeholders, as well as hiring and coaching a small team of commercial support staff to amplify your efforts.
What you will work on:
Lead high-impact sales initiatives and manage strategic customer relationships, particularly with C-level decision makers.
Drive complex B2B sales cycles from initial contact to close, delivering various energy solutions such as PPAs, balancing of solar and BESS, and tailored procurement options.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities, while continuously improving our overall sales tactics.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, communicating technical and financial value with clarity and credibility.
Hire, coach, and manage junior commercial team members to support you in building your pipeline.
Collaborate with the wider Reel team on go-to-market strategy, including refining our Sales Playbook and value proposition.
Support the broader commercial team in navigating policy, pricing, and regulatory conversations with clients.
Champion decarbonization and renewable electricity procurement in the Danish market, and beyond.
You are a commercially minded leader who enjoys owning strategic customer relationships and bringing clarity to complex decisions. You know how to open doors, guide buying processes, and win trust at the highest levels. You thrive in a hunter-sales role.
You’ll thrive here if you bring:
Important: Fluency in Danish and English.
Several years of experience in complex B2B sales processes – ideally within electricity sales, financial services, infrastructure, insurance, or other high-trust/high-complexity solution sales.
Knowledge of energy markets and PPAs is a plus, but not a requirement.
Proven track record of working with C-level decision-makers and closing high-value deals.
(Ideally) Experience in hiring, mentoring, or managing junior team members.
A data-informed approach to sales, including solid CRM habits (we use HubSpot).
Clear communication skills, strong commercial instincts, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
A personal drive to accelerate the energy transition and make a real-world impact.
A valid Danish driver’s license.
Location: We are open for candidates across Denmark, where you can work remotely, and come into the Reel office (Copenhagen) as relevant.
