The role

At Alvenir we build agentic AI for financial services. Not prototypes - production systems processing tens of thousands of conversations monthly at major Danish financial institutions. Our platform, Pontus, listens to live conversations, transcribes in real-time, and helps advisors with documentation and automation. It's a combination of modern AI capabilities with robust platform engineering.

To make our AI agents more capable, we need deeper integrations, better infrastructure, and more features. You'll own significant parts of Pontus development and play a central role in customer deployment projects.

What you'll be doing

• Backend development for AI systems: new features, data pipelines, better workflows.

• Customer-specific integrations to internal systems.

• Infrastructure - both custom on-prem deployments and our SaaS environments.

• Collaborate with AI and cloud engineers to ship pragmatic solutions.

• Maintain, secure, and optimize production systems.

• Have direct contact with users and stakeholders during implementations.

• Occasional frontend and desktop application work.

What we're looking for

• Strong Python skills - You write mature, well-typed code and care about software quality.

• CS/Software Engineering degree - or equivalent background.

• Technical motivation - You're driven by building things that work in production, solving hard problems, and working close to the metal. Our stack should look interesting to you.

The stack

• Backend: Python services deployed with Terraform and Helmfile on Kubernetes, running on both Scaleway and AWS

• CI/CD: Minimal but effective GitHub Actions pipelines

• Integrations: REST APIs, WebSockets, and gRPC - including integrations towards our own Electron desktop application

• Infrastructure: Multi-cloud setup with hands-on infrastructure work

• Development environment: Linux-heavy with a DIY attitude - we're comfortable getting our hands dirty when needed
