Game Engineering Intern (Two Openings)

SYBO is part of the Miniclip family and known for the widely popular game, Subway Surfers - the most downloaded mobile game in the world, with over four billion downloads. Located in the heart of Copenhagen, we aim to create playful moments that inspire our fans to care.

You will have an opportunity to join a game team operating a live game played by millions of players daily and work with “SYBOnians” from a wide variety of disciplines such as art, design, QA and of course engineering. Engineers are a part of 3 types of teams within the Subway team: tech, live-ops and features. As an intern you will learn and hone your skills for the future as well as supporting our team maintain and develop the most downloaded game in the world.

This internship is unpaid and full-time running from the fall semester in 2026.

Your time at SYBO

In your ramp-up month - During your first month you will be welcomed into the team and the pod you will be working in. During this time you will be meeting people and being introduced to the project and making sure you are set up for a smooth start.

In your contributor months - You will be an engaged member of your pod, collaborating with design, developing features, fixing bugs, participating in code reviews, team meetings, stand-ups, sprint reviews and demos.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with your internship mentor

• Developing features for the game in collaboration with design, art and product

• Test your code and collaborate with QA

• Bug fixing

• Planning, estimations and making of technical designs

• Working with and contributing to a code base for a live game

Requirements

• C# and Unity development experience

• Effective problem solving skills and attention to detail

• Familiarity with making games for mobile platforms

It is a requirement to be enrolled in a university program that supports a full-time internship as part of the education - and you need to be able to commute to our Copenhagen office on a daily basis.

We do not offer relocation, VISA, or house search assistance for internships.
