Pluto.markets is one of the most promising scale-ups on the Nordic venture scene, backed by Y-combinator, Seed Capital and 10 local unicorn founders - building the next chapter of investing to challenge investment titans like Saxo Bank/Nordnet.

After building out the platform for 4 years, we have built a product that users love with high engagement/retention and healthy unit-economics. Now’s the time to scale, with the goal to acquire 40.000+ new customers over the next 18 months across the Nordics, after recently announcing our $6m seed round.

For this role, you will work directly with the CEO and be responsible for the books & annual reports, internal reporting and all regulatory reporting. You will be the only person in the team and will be required to have an exceptional ability to get sh** done - and will regularly be reporting directly to the Board.

Therefore, we are looking for an auditor-like profile who knows finance from within, is hyper structured and understands the legal foundation required for helping running a highly regulated company.

Founded in Copenhagen in 2021, we have built the first and only investment platform in the Nordics offering zero commission trading, fractional shares and recently added crypto to the platform with many new and innovative features in the pipeline.

Users already love what we do. During the last 12 months since our public launch we have achieved:

• Trades worth 1bnDKK+ executed on the platform

• 200.000+ trades

• 10.000 users

• 12x growth since january across all metrics

Founders are former Goldman Sachs Trader and Economist, Joakim Bruchmann, and software engineer Oscar Vingtoft - building their second business together.

We are based on Købmagergade in the city centre - with a team currently of 9 FTEs with additional freelance support (of which half are engineers).

The role

The goal is to build the next unicorn, which requires a strong work ethic - and therefore we are looking for an absolute rockstar. Your job is to make sure everything “backoffice” runs as smoothly as possible, including finance, regulatory reporting & payroll. This is not a management role - but an important individual contributor in a very fast moving and flat organisation.

Our ideal candidate is the following:

• 1–4 years experience as a financial controller/auditor or similar, with a relevant degree.

• Can drive processes independently, including the annual report and regulatory reporting

• Highly structured - you will be responsible for the “backoffice” and this requires you to earn our trust

• You’re a founder yourself or have worked at/strong interest for startups

• Has experience investing and a natural interest in the financial markets

• High IQ

• Strong work ethics

• Advantage if you speak Danish/Swedish or Norwegian

Focus areas include; Finance, budgets, reporting, legal, payroll Key KPIs: the less time management has to spend on backoffice stuff, the better you are doing.
