Monthio is a European fintech company providing advanced, data-driven insights that support credit processes and customer decisioning in financial institutions. We serve two segments: large universal banks and Asset & Consumer Finance companies, primarily in highly regulated environments, helping them make better credit decisions with confidence.
Having established strong traction in Denmark, we are now expanding internationally. Priority markets include Denmark, Sweden, and Finland, with Spain and Norway already live and additional European markets planned.
As we move from strong product-market fit into structured international scaling, we are looking for a Product Manager to take ownership of our “Core Products” domain across markets. The role is critical to ensuring consistency, scalability, and commercial relevance as Monthio grows internationally.
The role reports directly to our Head of Product. You will work closely with two additional PMs each responsible for their domains based at our headquarters in Copenhagen.
As Product Manager at Monthio, you will own our “Core Product” domain end-to-end, with responsibility across all markets where Monthio operates.
Your role is to ensure that this domain:
Solves real customer and market problems across countries.
Scales effectively as we enter new markets.
Balances local market needs with global product consistency.
Delivers measurable commercial and customer impact.
You will work at the intersection of business, technology, and data, collaborating closely with engineers, data analysts, product designers, commercial teams, and market stakeholders.
This is not a project management or delivery-only role. It is a true product ownership role, where impact is defined by product adoption, customer value, scalability, and contribution to commercial outcomes.
Product strategy & domain ownership
Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a central product domain used across markets.
Translate company and product strategy into clear priorities and trade-offs.
Ensure the domain evolves in a scalable way as Monthio expands internationally.
Cross-market product development
Balance global product consistency with local market requirements.
Work closely with market-facing teams to understand country-specific needs.
Decide when to standardize and when to localize functionality.
Discovery, prioritization & execution
Lead continuous discovery through data, customer insights, and stakeholder input.
Define and prioritize product initiatives based on impact, effort, and dependencies.
Write clear problem statements, requirements, and success criteria.
Collaboration with engineering & data
Work closely with engineers and data teams to shape solutions.
Ensure technical implementations align with product intent and long-term scalability.
Participate actively in planning, refinement, and release processes.
Commercial & stakeholder alignment
Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to ensure product-market fit.
Support go-to-market activities with clear product narratives and positioning.
Act as the primary point of contact for your domain internally.
Measurement & continuous improvement
Use data to evaluate outcomes and guide iteration.
Continuously improve product quality, usability, and reliability.
You are a product manager who enjoys ownership, complexity, and decision-making. You are comfortable working across markets, navigating trade-offs, and taking responsibility for outcomes.
You bring:
5–10 years of experience in product management or closely related roles.
Experience owning a product or domain end-to-end.
Strong ability to translate business and customer needs into product decisions.
Comfort working with technical and data-heavy products.
Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have:
Experience working in fintech, financial services, or regulated environments.
Experience scaling products across multiple markets.
Background in data-driven or platform products.
Own a core domain: Take full responsibility for a product area critical to Monthio’s success.
Shape scale: Influence how our product evolves across multiple European markets.
Work cross-functionally: Collaborate closely with tech, data, and commercial teams.
Build pragmatically: Focus on solving real problems with measurable impact.
This role is hands-on, especially as markets and product complexity increase.
This is not a backlog-administration role.
This role requires making trade-offs and saying no.
Success is defined by product impact and scalability, not output volume.
The recruitment process consists of:
A screening call with our recruiter to align experience and expectations.
An on-site meeting with the hiring manager to assess collaboration and product thinking.
An in-depth interview including a product case, where you will demonstrate how you approach ownership, prioritization, and cross-market product decisions.
We look forward to receiving your application and getting to know you better.
