This is not a role for a generalist who's touched a lot of platforms. We're looking for someone who has Klaviyo as their primary specialism and has worked deeply with it in an e-commerce context. You should know what works, be able to build it yourself, and have the cases to prove it.


The Role

You'll take a central role in developing, driving, and optimizing CRM as a performance channel. You'll own the work end-to-end, from idea and setup through to analysis and optimization, and you'll be the person who sets the standard for how CRM is done at Mercive. As an end-to-end e-commerce agency, we work cross-functionally, and CRM plays closely alongside strategy, paid, creative, design, and the commercial setup around each client.

We believe the best results are created when specialists work closely together, and when strong craft is combined with high expertise and real collaboration. AI is increasingly part of how we work, and CRM is no exception, whether that's using AI (including Claude) to analyze and optimize setups, drive internal and external projects, or find leverage in repetitive work. We use AI actively to improve our workflows, help our clients, and create sharper insight on our cases. But it's important to us that AI is used with quality and judgment. We don't expect you to be an AI expert on day one, but we do want someone genuinely curious and eager to push what's possible.

The specialists who thrive here are the ones who experiment, find leverage, and bring new approaches to the team. Design understanding matters here too. You don't need to be a designer, but you do need a feel for the visual. You'll have full support from our design department, but it's important that you can see what works yourself, give qualified input, and help make sure the creative and the commercial play together. This is a fast-paced environment where the opportunities for growth are endless, and where the people who take ownership and run with things go furthest.


Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of CRM as a performance channel, owning the work end-to-end from idea and setup through to analysis and optimization

  • Build, maintain, and optimize flows in Klaviyo Plan and execute campaigns with a strong focus on performance Work with segmentation, testing, and continuous improvement

  • Work closely with our technical department and drive internal and external projects using AI, including Claude, as a tool for analysis, efficiency, and optimization of our setups

  • Collaborate with our design department to create emails and campaigns that look good, follow brand guidelines, and convert Turn data, customer behavior, and commercial understanding into concrete CRM initiatives

  • Advocate for improvements to quality, performance, and ways of working that have broad impact across the team

Qualifications

  • An entrepreneurial mindset: a self-starter who takes initiative, owns outcomes, and holds themselves accountable

  • Solid hands-on experience in Klaviyo, with it as your primary platform Primarily e-commerce experience, with a strong understanding of the dynamics of online business

  • A track record you can document through cases, clients, or concrete performance examples Technically sharp, with a firm grasp of both Klaviyo and the surrounding tech stack

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools and workflows (e.g. Claude), or a strong drive to master them, paired with the judgment to use AI with quality A good eye for design and an understanding of what works visually in emails and campaigns

  • Strong language skills, able to craft messages that are clear, relevant, and converting Positive, solution-oriented mindset, with strong organizational skills
