To help Shine achieve its ambitious roadmap and company goals, our Product Design team is made up of 15 talented people across four areas: Staff Design, Copywriting, Banking, and Invoicing & Accounting, which you’ll be part of.
In this role, you’ll join the Global Accounting domain and work closely with a cross-functional squad (Product, Engineering, Data, Ops) to improve the Expenses experience across web and mobile.
Your direct manager will be David Mühlfeld, Head of Design (Invoices & Accounting), and you’ll partner day-to-day with your Product and Engineering counterparts within the squad.
You’ll own the end-to-end design of our Expenses experience across web and mobile - from discovery to shipped impact. Your mission is to improve usability, consistency, and measurable product outcomes, in close partnership with Product and Engineering.
Your responsibilities will include:
Own the full design process: opportunity framing → discovery → solution → delivery → measurement
Improve UX on the Expenses product (web + mobile) and ship high-quality iterations
Use qualitative and quantitative signals (research, support insights, product data) to guide decisions
Define success metrics with your PM and close the loop post-launch
Collaborate with UX writing/localization and ensure clarity across markets
Contribute patterns to the design system and uphold design QA standards
Align closely with adjacent Accounting and Banking teams to keep the experience coherent
Participate in design rituals and raise quality while shipping pragmatically
📍 Job located in Berlin / Copenhagen / Paris, with possibility of two remote working days per week.
6+ years experience designing digital products in fast-paced tech environments (fintech/accounting/SaaS is a plus)
Proven end-to-end product ownership with shipped outcomes (not only polished UI)
Strong product thinking & problem framing (turn vague asks into clear bets/hypotheses)
Demonstrated user research & synthesis that changes decisions
Confident with cross-platform design (web + mobile)
Strong collaboration in a product trio (PM + Engineering), comfortable with ambiguity
Clear communicator in English (written and spoken)
Data-informed mindset: you can define success and validate impact
Bonus: technical literacy, domain expertise (expenses/accounting), mentorship
