Monthio is a European fintech company providing advanced, data-driven insights that support credit processes and customer decisioning in financial institutions. We serve two segments. Large universal banks and Asset & Consumer Finance companies, primarily in highly regulated environments, helping them make better credit decisions with confidence.
Having established strong traction in Denmark, we are now expanding internationally. Priority markets include Denmark, Sweden, and Finland, with Spain and Norway already live and additional European markets planned.
As we move from strong product-market fit into structured international scaling, we are looking for a Head of Marketing to play a key commercial role in shaping and executing our marketing strategy.
The role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and is based at our headquarters in Copenhagen.
As Head of Marketing at Monthio, you will own the full marketing agenda, from strategy to execution.
Your role is to build and run a focused, effective marketing engine that supports:
Enterprise Account-Based Marketing (ABM) for a small number of large banks.
Scalable demand generation for Asset & Consumer Finance segments.
A strong, credible brand presence across priority markets.
Tight, pragmatic alignment with Sales.
This is not a brand-only or communications role. Initially, the role does not include direct people management. Instead, you will lead through orchestration, working closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies. Impact is defined by pipeline contribution, deal progression, and market traction.
Marketing strategy & execution
Define and execute Monthio’s marketing strategy aligned with commercial priorities. Translate company strategy into quarterly marketing plans with clear focus and trade-offs.
Ensure marketing efforts prioritize impact over activity.
Account-Based Marketing (ABM)
Build and run a tiered ABM model:
1:1 ABM for a small number of large universal banks.
1:few ABM for defined clusters (e.g. Nordic Asset & Consumer Finance)
1:many demand generation for broader awareness and inbound.
Orchestrate ABM across campaigns, events, and paid/owned/earned channels.
Work closely with Sales on:
Target account selection.
Buying group focus.
Market-specific priorities.
Demand generation, inbound & web
Own Monthio’s website and always-on marketing channels.
Build inbound and demand generation flows for both segments and in particular for Asset & Consumer Finance.
Balance lead generation and demand generation.
Ensure messaging supports trust, clarity, and credibility.
Events & field marketing
Own the event strategy across priority markets, including:
Executive roundtables.
Industry events.
Partner initiatives.
Ensure events are targeted, integrated into sales follow-up, and measured for impact.
Sales alignment & activation
Own the intake and prioritization of Sales needs.
Translate needs into clear briefs for the Solutions Marketing Manager.
Ensure produced materials are delivered on time, used consistently, and activated effectively across campaigns and ABM plays.
Measurement, operations & budget
Build the marketing measurement foundation together with Sales.
Develop a shared view of pipeline sourcing and pipeline influence.
Own marketing reporting and insights.
Operate HubSpot as the core marketing system, with mandate to optimize and influence future stack decisions.
Own the annual marketing budget, including:
Agency and partner selection.
Freelancers and tools.
Allocation of spend across channels.
You are a commercially minded marketing leader who combines strategic ownership with hands-on execution. You are comfortable building structure from scratch and operating without large teams.
You bring:
5-10 years of B2B marketing experience.
Strong exposure to enterprise or complex B2B sales environments.
Proven experience with ABM, demand generation, and field marketing.
Strong commercial mindset and credibility with Sales.
Confidence working independently and prioritizing ruthlessly.
Nice to have:
Experience scaling marketing across multiple markets.
Background in fintech or financial services.
Experience operating in highly regulated industries.

This role is hands-on, especially in the first 12–18 months.
This is not a role for managing large teams.
This is not a pure brand or strategy-only role.
Success is defined by commercial impact, not activity volume.
