Goals

• Within 3 months to be able to handle all KYC and transaction monitoring without supervision.

• Customers in onboarding assigned to you must get a reply the same working day.

• 90% of cases must have a maximum 2 working days review of an onboarding case.

• Ensure all transaction monitoring on both normal and crypto rails are handled daily.

• Participate in setting and meeting team targets on deliveries with the team on a monthly basis.

The Job

KYC Specialists in Januar are responsible for the timely and accurate evaluation of customers, before they are onboarded to use our financial services. Daily activities include researching and investigating customers, performing transaction monitoring checks, and collecting information from customers.

Responsibilities

• Investigating and onboarding customers.

• Transaction monitoring checks.

• Maintaining and documenting customer information.

• Handle customer contact, and queries both ways.

• Virtual inspection of customers.

• Following all internal guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Meet internal service level goals for speed and quality.

• Participate in internal projects.

About You

• Bachelors or Masters degree or equivalent required.

• High focus on execution and customer service.

• High sense of responsibility and attention to details.

• Optional: Experience with handling confidential information, and knowledge of GDPR.

You do not need to have intricate knowledge of crypto, we do. What you need is the ability to absorb difficult and technical information, and the desire to proactively chase solutions and make things better.

Practical information

Salary range: 28.000-36.000 DKK per month, including pensions.

Applications will be handled on an ongoing basis, and applicants will be invited to interviews throughout the period. We aim for an early start date, preferably March 1, 2026.

We specialize in servicing companies working with crypto, and pride ourselves on our insight and understanding of the crypto space. Januar was established in 2021, and has an EEA PI license. We are a compliance-first company, meaning quality and reliability have highest priority for us. Our offices are located close to Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen. We prefer to be in the office, although remote working is also possible. Currently we are 16 colleagues, in an equal mix of bankers, tech and crypto specialists.
