📢About the Role:

We are looking for a senior, hands-on developer who thrives on building great APIs and integrations, cares deeply about developer experience, and wants real ownership in a modern, impactful platform role.

📃Role Description:

As a Senior Developer Experience Specialist - APIs & Integrations, you will be a hands-on senior developer with ownership of TimeLog’s API and integration landscape. You will shape how developers interact with our platform through well-designed APIs, solid architecture, and high-quality documentation.

You will work deep in the codebase, designing and building production-grade APIs and integrations, while also owning the technical direction and standards that ensure consistency, scalability, and long-term maintainability. You will work across both modern and existing integration stacks, taking responsibility for maintaining, evolving, and gradually modernizing critical parts of our integration landscape.

This is a developer-first role with real influence: you remain deeply hands-on while driving architectural decisions and raising the bar for integrations across the platform. You are encouraged to think beyond conventional solutions, explore new technologies, and challenge existing patterns to create modern, forward-looking implementations with real impact.

🎯 Key responsibilities:

Hands-on Development & Architecture

  • Design, implement, and maintain production-grade REST APIs and integration services

  • Write high-quality, testable, and maintainable code across API and integration layers

  • Define and evolve API architecture, data contracts, and versioning strategies

  • Ensure performance, security, and reliability of all interfaces

API & Integration Ownership

  • Own the technical roadmap for APIs and integrations

  • Drive architectural decisions across Finance, CRM, and Payroll integrations

  • Review and approve API designs and integration patterns

Developer Experience & Standards

  • Establish and enforce API standards and design guidelines

  • Own API documentation, reference specs, and examples

  • Improve onboarding for internal and external developers

Advanced Interfaces & Platforms

  • Build and maintain data connectors and streaming-based integrations

  • Design and implement AI / agent-facing interfaces (MCP or similar)

  • Ensure consistent patterns across synchronous and asynchronous integrations

🥇What We're Looking For:
  • Senior-level backend or integration development experience

  • Strong hands-on API development skills

  • Solid understanding of integration patterns and system design

  • Comfortable owning technical direction while coding daily

Don’t wait - we’re excited to welcome your application already today!

Working at
TimeLog

Over the past 20 years, TimeLog has grown. From a basement to offices in Denmark, Sweden, and Malaysia. From the goal to create the world's best time tracking tool to wanting to be Europe's leading Professional Services Automation (PSA) software provider. And we're not nearly finished growing. Or dreaming. In November 2020, the renowned software investor, Viking Venture, invested € 10 million in TimeLog. The goal of the partnership is to create a Nordic PSA power house by accelerating product development, becoming even more TimeLoggers and acquiring at least one company a year over the next five years. In March 2022, TimeLog acquired its first company: AutoPilot. AutoPilot is a market leader in Denmark used by more than half of the Danish architects, and nearly that many engineers. It covers their need for time management, resource planning, pipeline, analysis and business intelligence. The acquisition is part of a strategy to offer more niche solutions to our customers. The acquisition of AutoPilot is also the first after the investment from Viking Venture. With the acquisition, we are more than 100 employees working from offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Aalborg, Kuala Lumpur, London and Stockholm.
