Event Media Crew (Photographer/Videographer)

This role captures RoyalHacks as it happens—high-quality photos and video that become teasers, highlights, and recap content for social media and future editions. It’s fast-paced, hands-on, and highly portfolio-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Must own a professional camera and necessary shooting gear

  • Capture high-quality photos and videos during pre-event, event, and post-event stages

  • Shoot reels/shorts and quick behind-the-scenes content for social media

  • Edit videos and photos quickly with same-day or next-day turnaround

  • Create promotional short-form content: teasers, highlights, recap videos

  • Apply creative editing styles based on current social media trends

  • Deliver final edited content + raw files within agreed timelines

We’re looking for

  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment on event days

  • Strong visual instincts (composition, lighting, motion, storytelling)

  • Reliable and structured with files + handoff (so the content doesn’t vanish into a hard drive black hole)

What You’ll Gain

  • A high-impact portfolio project: national event coverage + social-first deliverables

  • Collaboration with a multidisciplinary organizer team building Denmark’s first national student hackathon

  • Official reference letters to support your goals

  • Credit and visibility through published content (where applicable)

Time & Place

October–March: dynamic workload (planning + a few shoot days), plus full on-site coverage during the hackathon weekend in Spring 2026 (Copenhagen).
