We’re building Francis – the FP&A platform for modern finance teams. While most businesses still rely on Excel to manage their finances, the next generation of finance teams at companies like Les Deux, FRAMA, Female Invest, and hundreds more use Francis for consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business partnering.
The role and responsibility
You’ll be the first dedicated FP&A Advisor, trained directly by our co-founder William, who has led FP&A advisory for the few hundred companies adopting Francis. You’ll take his proven playbook and run it across 100 new customers in your first year.
Your job is to ensure finance teams succeed with Francis, systematize what works, and identify what should be automated or made self-serve. If you do this well, you’ll likely hire and train the next wave of advisors - but first, we need to prove the model with one person.
Your success is measured by activation and usage retention - whether finance teams learn to solve FP&A needs with Francis. The role is about empowering finance teams to work autonomously, not doing the work for them.
Run 100 implementations in year one. You'll onboard new customers from proof-of-concept through go-live: understanding their current setup, translating their workflows into Francis, co-building their financial models, and getting them to their first successful reports. Average implementation is 1-4 weeks with regular touchpoints. You'll also problem-solve with existing customers as they expand usage or hit complex scenarios.
Solve hard FP&A problems across dozens of industries. Multi-entity consolidation with intercompany eliminations. Balance sheet and cash flow forecasting. Multi-currency reporting. Statutory vs management accounts. Budget vs forecast vs actual variance analysis. You'll see more FP&A setups in six months than most experienced CFOs see in their entire career - and learn how to solve common challenges.
Build the knowledge base and training materials. Write documentation, create video guides, and develop templates that empower customers to work independently.
Feed product insights to the product and engineering team. You'll have a direct line to product decisions. When customers consistently struggle with a workflow, you'll advocate for product changes. When requests point toward short-term fixes or added complexity, you’ll help translate the underlying need into a better long-term solution. Your judgment matters here.
Build close relationships with many finance leaders. Your day-to-day will be calls with CFOs, Finance Directors and advisory partners.
Get hands-on exposure to hundreds of FP&A setups. Most finance professionals work at one company at a time and see one FP&A setup. You’ll see a hundred in year one and develop unparalleled FP&A expertise.
Shape how we scale. You’ll execute our playbook while continuously identifying what can be systematized, templatized, or automated. Your work will have visible impact from day one. With little bureaucracy and short feedback loops, you’ll help build the function as we grow - including training and mentoring the next advisors.
Play a key role in bringing a modern, category-defining FP&A product to market. This is an early, high-impact role with close founder collaboration, deep exposure to FP&A and B2B SaaS, and real influence on how the product and company take shape.
