ROLE CHANNEL SALES MANAGER

At SOUNDBOKS, the Retail team fuels commercial success by working hand-in-hand with B2B retail partners and translating brand and product insights into information customers can actually use. Every move the team makes directly shapes our products’ performance in the market, giving the team shared ownership of the organisation’s commercial success.

As a Channel Sales Manager at SOUNDBOKS, you will own and manage major accounts across German and the rest of the DACH markets, including major consumer electronics retailers. You’ll work on managing and growing those existing partnerships while driving revenue growth by building and executing plans for each account.

 

Okay, let’s make things a little more concrete. Here’s what we expect your daily life to look like:

Account Planning & Activations

  • You’ll take ownership of your accounts, guiding their growth and shaping long-term plans.

  • You’ll come up with and bring to life the business plans of individual accounts.

  • You’ll co-design and drive promotional campaigns, as well as support with execution of in-market and in-store activations.

Performance & Inventory

  • You’ll keep track of sell-in and sell-through data to always have a good insight on partner’s inventory levels, ensuring their shelves are well stocked.

  • You’ll stay close to your customers, keeping track of performance, forecasts, and account direction.

Collaboration & Market Presence

  • You’ll work in close collaboration with teams internally, primarily with Operations and Marketing.

  • You’ll represent SOUNDBOKS at customer and retail visits, as well as trade fairs and other relevant exhibitions.

  • Travel is a part of the deal here - you’ll be out on the road, visiting partners and customers 5-10 days every month.

 

In order to become a success in this role, we believe that your profile should be aligned with the bullets listed below. However, we acknowledge that success can take many forms, so please do apply even if you don’t tick all the boxes.

  • You speak (maybe also sing and whistle) both German and English fluently.

  • You’re familiar with what good key account management is made of and have ideally tried some account management, channel, or retail sales.

  • Whether you’re just stepping into key account management or have years of experience, you’re comfortable owning your capabilities and growing from there.

  • You’re likely familiar with consumer electronics.

  • A “no” just means we haven’t found the right solution yet - you’re good at finding ways to move things forward and turn that into “YES”!

  • You strongly relate to what SOUNDBOKS is about and are keen to help build this story further.

  • You see life, work, and opportunities through an optimistic lens, and that upbeat step is what helps you keep the doors and partnerships open!
