Antec Biogas AS is passionately driving biogas solutions and invites you to be part of this exciting journey. Our plants are role models in circularity, turning organic waste into valuable products such as renewable methane, high-quality organic fertilizer products, and biogenic carbon dioxide for industrial use.
With strong strategic owners and an ambitious project pipeline in Norway, Antec is entering a significant growth phase. With one plant under construction and several in development, we are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the engineering, procurement and construction of the Malm biogas plant which will process 130 000 ton of feedstock annually and will produce 75 GWh biogas. The plant is strategically positioned to process rest products from fish industry.
The Project Manager role carries overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the Malm biogas plant, from engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning, and handover. The plant will be partly engineered by EPC contractors and partly by Antec’s in-house engineering team.
This is a key role in Antec’s organization, central to our strategy as a developer, owner, and operator of biogas plants. The Project Manager holds full accountability for cost, schedule, quality, and HSE across all project phases.
As Project Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary project team, coordinating internal and external resources, EPC contractors, suppliers, and construction partners. You will be Antec’s primary representative towards contractors and authorities and ensure that engineering, procurement, and construction activities are executed in line with contractual and regulatory requirements and Antec’s standards.
Your main purpose is to ensure safe, efficient, and predictable project execution, integrating engineering and construction into a cohesive delivery that meets Antec’s technical, commercial, and operational objectives.
Hold overall responsibility for planning, execution, and delivery of the Malm biogas plant project, including scope, cost, schedule, quality, and HSE
Manage large EPC contracts, including contract strategy, follow-up, change management, claims handling, and commercial control
Coordinate interfaces between EPC contractors, Antec’s in-house engineering, and other suppliers
Lead construction activities on site, ensuring safe execution, progress control, and compliance with project and regulatory requirements
Contribute to establishing the project organisation, governance structure, reporting, and decision-making processes
Ensure effective risk management, including identification, mitigation, and follow-up of technical, commercial, and execution risks
Lead the project controls support functions, both in terms of time, i.e. planning, progress tracking, and forecasting, and cost, i.e. budget estimation and follow up, ensuring transparency and timely corrective actions
Oversee commissioning and handover to operations, ensuring readiness for start-up in close cooperation with engineering and operations teams
Collaborate closely with the Asset Manager, who is also General Manager of the SPV, who is responsible for the overall business case, availability of feedstock, offtake of primary products and biproducts, and relations with key stakeholder and partners.
Manage the procurement for the Malm biogas plant, including EPC contractor selection and contract negotiations
Establish robust project execution plans and interface management between EPC contractors and Antec’s internal engineering scope
Manage construction activities on site, supported by site managers, ensuring safe and efficient execution from early works through mechanical completion
Ensure effective collaboration with the Engineering team to align process design, engineering deliverables, and construction execution
Implement experience and lessons learned from Vest Biogas plant currently under construction into the Malm project
Successfully deliver the Malm biogas plant within agreed cost, schedule, and quality targets
Strengthen Antec’s project execution model for future large-scale biogas investments
Contribute to the development of standardized project execution practices, contract strategies, and governance structures across Antec’s project portfolio
Build long-term relationships with EPC contractors, suppliers, and partners to support Antec’s growth strategy
Higher education in engineering, construction management, or other relevant technical disciplines

Experience working in regulated industrial environments with strong HSE and quality requirements
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Structured, decisive, and delivery-oriented mindset with the ability to manage complexity and uncertainty
