Salary Competitive

The Mission

We are scaling a specialized trading intelligence platform for the global agricultural commodities market. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to manage an existing portfolio; it is for a proactive professional who wants to build one. We need a driver who is energized by the challenge of entering new markets and creating high-value opportunities from scratch.

The Role

We operate with a lean, agile startup mentality inside a stable, family-owned group. Your objective is to act as the engine of our growth.

This is an outbound-heavy role. You will be responsible for identifying high-value targets, navigating complex global organizations, and initiating the professional dialogues that lead to long-term partnerships. We value autonomy, persistence, and the ability to create momentum in competitive environments.

Your Responsibilities

Success in this role is defined by high activity and strategic persistence. You will be expected to:

  • Build and refine targeted prospect lists within the global agri-commodity ecosystem.

  • Execute a high volume of outbound activity across phone, email, and LinkedIn. You understand that consistent, high-level activity is the foundation of a strong pipeline.

  • Strategically engage key accounts from multiple angles, reaching stakeholders across different regions and functions to find the right entry point.

  • Monitor industry "people moves"—leveraging personnel changes as a catalyst for new business conversations.

  • Qualify prospects and book discovery calls and demos for yourself and/or senior colleagues

  • Keep a clean, structured pipeline in CRM and always knowing what the next step is

  • Testing new scripts, channels, and sequences – and doubling down on what works

·       Finding new markets, segments, and lists to go after when it’s a quiet day

Who You Are

You are early in your career but possess a strong drive to succeed in B2B sales. You are disciplined, resilient, and motivated by tangible results.

  • 1+ years of experience in outbound B2B sales

  • Experience in B2B SaaS or data/analytics solutions is a plus

  • A proven ability to identify and convert leads; high activity, resilience, and comfort with rejection

  • Curiosity about agri-commodities and how global trade works – you don’t need to know it yet, but you want to learn

  • A structured way of working with CRM, lists, follow-ups, and pipeline

  • Strong communication skills over phone, email, and LinkedIn

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience selling into commodities, agri, logistics, or trading companies

  • Experience with outreach tools (e.g., Apollo, dialers, Sales Navigator)

  • Additional languages relevant to our markets (e.g., Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese)

Why Join Us?

  • Direct Impact: In a small team, your effort is directly visible and instrumental to our scaling phase.

  • Growth Potential: We reward those who consistently exceed targets with increased responsibility and career progression.

  • Professional Environment: Work within a specialized industry that is essential to the global economy.

Part of Something Bigger

Yes, we’re a small team.
But we’re not alone.

CM Navigator and our marketing intelligence solution live inside a bigger ecosystem – Copenhagen Merchants Group – with stable family ownership, strong capital, decades of trading and logistics experience, and the Octopus T.W. Heart as the Culture Guardian.

It gives us something rare: startup agility with group-level stability.

What We Offer

You’ll work at the intersection of SaaS, data, and global agri commodities – selling a product that helps real companies make better commercial decisions.

You’ll join a small, international team with:

  • Clear targets and real impact on revenue and growth

  • Short decision paths and direct access to leadership

  • Space to experiment with new angles, channels, and tactics

  • A culture built on trust, ownership, and initiative – if you have an idea, you can try it

  • The chance to grow your career fast in a niche but global industry

  • Halimas home-made cookies, short in the summer, and one of the coolest offices

Preferred location: Copenhagen (other locations - Kaunas, Geneve or Dubai - can be discussed for strong candidates).

Interested?

If you’re excited by the mix of SaaS, sales, and global commodities – and you love to be at the forefront of growth– we’d love to hear from you.

Upload your CV, and feel free to include:

  • A short intro (written and/or video, max. 60 seconds) on why this role is you

  • Any numbers you’re proud of (calls, meetings booked, pipeline created, deals influenced)

Working at
CM Navigator A/S

CM Navigator A/S – part of Copenhagen Merchants Group - is the company behind the digital platform for market intelligence and decision support in the agri-commodity and freight sectors – CM Navigator. Founded by Copenhagen Merchants Group, CM Navigator was initially developed in-house (starting around 2018) to aggregate the wealth of tacit market knowledge held by the group’s brokers and shipping experts. It was subsequently launched as a commercial SaaS platform in 2022 and later incorporated as an independent company in 2023 (while remaining majority-owned by CM Group). What it offers: CM Navigator provides real-time data and analytics tools to track commodity markets and logistics: • Live Prices & Global Benchmarks: Users get daily updated prices from major export regions (North America, South America, Europe, Black Sea, Australia, etc.) and a global CFR price matrix covering 600+ destinations, allowing easy comparison of origin competitiveness. This helps traders see, for example, how US corn fob prices plus freight compare to Brazilian corn into a given import market. • Freight Forecasting: The platform includes advanced freight tools that let users search among 250,000+ bulk freight routes with up to 12-month forward curves. This essentially functions as an instant freight rate calculator: a trader can input a specific load port and discharge port (or even a combination for multi-leg trades) and get current freight cost estimates and future rates. Such capability, drawn from Navi Merchants’ data, simplifies evaluating the delivered cost of commodities. • Supply/Demand & Trade Flows: CM Navigator continuously updates global supply and demand balances for key crops, and tracks trade flows. It integrates official data with on-the-ground insights (e.g., port line-up information) to give an up-to-date picture of export/import volumes and stock levels. This dynamic data can alert users to changes (such as a sudden surge in Ukrainian wheat exports or a drought cutting Argentine soy supply) much faster than traditional reports. • News & Insights: The platform delivers relevant news flashes and in-house analysis. For instance, it might highlight policy changes, weather events, or logistical issues affecting markets, along with commentary from CM’s analysts. Users also receive reports like grain export summaries or freight market outlooks, helping them stay ahead in volatile markets. Strategic purpose: The creation of CM Navigator reflects the group’s goal to “empower traders of all sizes in all countries” by democratizing access to high-quality market data. It takes the tacit knowledge that Copenhagen Merchants accumulated (through decades of brokerage and logistics operations) and scales it via technology. Internally, the platform ensures CM’s own teams and key clients operate with the same up-to-date information. Externally, it has become a new revenue stream and value proposition, attracting subscribers from the wider industry. By providing transparency and decision-support, CM Navigator strengthens Copenhagen Merchants Group’s role as an information broker. Its strategic goal is to be the go-to platform for anyone looking for integrated data on grains and freight, thereby enhancing market efficiency and extending the group’s influence in the digital domain.
