Antec Biogas AS is passionately driving biogas solutions and invite you to be part of this exciting journey. Our plants are role models in circularity, turning organic waste into valuable products, i.e. renewable methane, high quality biofertilizer products and biogenic carbon dioxide for industrial uses. We are currently positioned for ambitious growth in our pipeline of projects in Norway, supported by strong strategic owners.
With one plant under construction and several in development, we are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our team and drive our ambitions as a developer, owner and operator of biogas plants.
The Senior Process Engineer role carries responsibility for ensuring process efficiency, compliance, and innovation across Antec's biogas facilities. It is a core role with responsibility for end-to-end process engineering of the biogas assets in development, as well as optimizing operations and implementing design improvements throughout each plant’s lifecycle.
You will be the discipline responsible person in the organization for process engineering, as part of the multidisciplinary Technical Team. The team is responsible, internally and through partners, for complete biogas plant delivery from waste reception, anaerobic digestion, gas upgrading, gas liquefaction and digestate processing.
Your main purpose will be to ensure the integration of all parts of the process plant into a cohesive process design. You will then be responsible for following up execution, commissioning and operation of the design and subsequent process improvements.
You will drive the development of Antec's assets and products through contracts and manage these larger contracts from a functional perspective.
You will lead the technical review and process integration of large-scale deliveries, with the support of the wider engineering team at your request.
You will set the process standards and requirements which are carried forward to each new plant, or form part of improvement plans for existing plants.
You will set best practice standards for systems, modelling, procedures and documentation for process engineering. You will implement these standards in our organization and ensure our partners deliver to them.
You will both perform and mentor the team on performing typical process engineering tasks.
You will review, contribute to and advise on documentation such as functional specifications, PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs, control narratives, dimensioning calculations, alarm schedules and functional safety specifications.
You will monitor plant performance, initiate corrective action plans if required, and maintain stakeholder communication to ensure objectives are met and sustained.
You will participate in the product development of Antec’s Anaerobic Digestors (Biofilm Plug Flow Reactors) and further their implementation in new applications.
You will engage with suppliers, consultants and the biogas industry to ensure we stay at the cutting edge of biogas and are part of the conversation around the industry’s common problems.
Participate in the procurement of Malm biogas plant, evaluate offers from EPC contractors and define the functional and technical requirements in all relevant contracts, incorporating the know-how from Vest Biogas plant currently under construction.
Manage the interfaces among contracts and lead the design review of deliveries to Malm, ensuring contractors deliver according to requirements.
Lead the process design and optimization of parts of Malm plant that are not included in the EPC contracts.
Provide engineering expertise for new biogas plant developments, from feasibility studies, design basis, engineering, through commissioning and start-up.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance process stability and efficiency of operating plants.
Continue the development of Antec’s BioFilm Plug Flow Reactor based on the evaluation of current applications.
Execute strategic plans aimed at optimizing biogas operations, ensuring alignment with Antec's growth objectives.
Guide technological advancements, expand plant capabilities, and integrate complex feedstocks by selecting technologies that ensure optimal operation and smart, sustainable cost reduction.
Higher education in energy and process engineering or other relevant areas.
Extensive understanding of industrial processes, i.e. biogas, oil & gas, waste-to-energy technologies.
10+ years of experience in biogas or similar industries and operations.
Experience in working with turn-key contracts and interfacing between several contractual parties.
Proven expertise in process design, optimization and control.
Experience of delivering to environmental regulations and safety standards in a given industry sector.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting plant issues.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
