At RiACT, we're crafting a new era for the robotics industry as the architects of a smarter manufacturing future. We're removing layers of complexity and replacing them with ease of use and universal adaptability, making robot operations as simple as using a smartphone. Welcome to the future of robotics, powered by RiACT!
We are an international team of +10 employees, brought together by our shared passion for software, robots, and quirky ideas.
Now, we are looking for you—a soon-to-be Robotics Engineer who speaks Python fluently and wants to join our team as our new Junior Robotics Engineer!
Assist in software development: Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain software applications for robotics systems, including writing code, debugging, and testing.
Electrical integration and physical assembly of hardware in robotic cells: Work with robot arms, grippers, and peripherals (PLCs, conveyor belts, sensors, etc.).
Setup and testing of PCs, routers, and other common electronics: Test our software, RiFLEX, and create new tests in Python.
Documentation: Contribute to documenting software and robotics systems, including specifications, user manuals, and technical reports.
Current enrollment in a relevant degree program (e.g., Autonomous Systems, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or a related field, with at least one year until graduation.
Strong programming skills in Python (we work 95% in Python) with a willingness to learn new programming languages and technologies. A dedicated Python test will be part of the application process.
Basic understanding of software development principles, including version control systems (e.g., Git) and software testing methodologies.
Bonus: Familiarity with robotics concepts and technologies such as robot kinematics, transformations, motion planning, ROS2, robot control, finite state machines, behavior trees, CAD modelling, mesh optimisation etc.
Our company structure is project-oriented, meaning we work across disciplines on various projects in teams with shifting responsibilities depending on the project. This approach, combined with ongoing feedback and support, fosters a culture of trust, collaboration, support, and innovation. We aim to create a learning environment where we can all grow and develop both professionally and personally.
As our new Junior Robotics Engineer, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies, with the potential opportunity for full-time employment upon graduation.
