The mission is to innovate financial literacy for retail investors and to make finance relatable on a human level for the user.

We aim to equip retail investors and investment learners with the tools and knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of the financial world. FIDNEA provide interactive and AI-driven supported learning to demystify the financial markets. There are many cool things happening in the investment space, but the challenge of solving financial literacy is underestimated. We want to change that.

Based on User Research & Testing

We've engaged in extensive user research to assess real demand, usability testing, competitor analysis, product positioning and built a strong and motivated team, and established early industry partnerships. We take on a demand driven approach to pre-Product-Market-Fit (pre-PMF) phase.

With our robust backend infrastructure and interactive learning platform ready for mobile, we are seeking a skilled Fullstack Developer to help further develop our app across Android and iOS platforms. You will be at the forefront of delivering interactive, gamified learning experiences to users worldwide.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a FullStack Developer Intern, you will work across the entire application stack — from frontend interfaces to backend logic and database layers — helping build and scale a modern learning app. If you're not ready for fullstack, we'll start you off with frontend or backend exclusively - depending on you're core competence.

As a fullstack developer you will do:

Frontend & App Development

• Implement responsive UI components based on designs from tools like Figma.

• Build smooth user flows across mobile and web environments.

• Integrate API-driven features such as authentication, learning modules, gamification, and user profiles.

• Ensure consistency, accessibility, and usability in all user-facing features.

Backend & API Development

• Build and maintain server-side logic, API endpoints, and data orchestration flows.

• Work with modern backend frameworks (Node.js/Express or similar alternatives).

• Interact with relational databases through an ORM (e.g., Prisma, TypeORM, Sequelize).

• Implement authentication flows (token-based or similar secure mechanisms).

• Contribute to business logic powering subscriptions, progress tracking, and content delivery.

Infrastructure & Quality

• Participate in deployment pipelines using cloud-based hosting platforms (Render, Vercel, Railway, etc.).

• Work with automated code-quality tools (linters, formatters, Git hooks).

• Ensure reliable API performance, security, and scalability principles are followed.

• Collaborate with the mobile developer, designer, tech lead, and founder across tasks.

What We're Looking For

You can deliver according to best practices and documentation expectations. You understand code quality, maintainability, and version control — not just writing code but explaining why. You understand that robust and visually appealing documentation is central. Furthermore it's natural for you to demo your code and progress to both full technical, semi-technical and business reviewers/leaders.

Foundational Skills (Core)

You should be comfortable with:

• JavaScript/TypeScript — for both frontend and backend use.

• Frontend frameworks like React or similar component-based ecosystems.

• Backend frameworks like Express, NestJS, Koa, or comparable.

• Working with relational databases and ORMs (e.g., Prisma, TypeORM, Sequelize).

• REST API architecture and client–server communication.

  
  

Nice-to-Haves (Not required, but strong bonuses)

• Understanding of CI/CD or cloud deployments (Render, Vercel, Fly.io, Railway).

• Experience with authentication patterns (JWT, OAuth, session management).

• Familiarity with mobile app integration (React Native or similar).

• Understanding of testing (unit, integration) and debugging tools.

• Knowledge of secure coding practices and data protection basics.

• Interest in gamification, fintech, or educational products.

What We Offer:

The internship is unpaid and without equity for now, but when funded and /or generating revenue, you will have a chance to apply for and negotiate for a paid position. You will need to sign a contract and an NDA. 

We will make the contract for 4-6 months with a 14-day trial period. Hours a week will depend upon individual agreement, but there will be a lower limit, for you to be able to deliver the results needed.
