The vision is to bring the entire beauty market into one smart, personalized platform where users can instantly discover and shop what truly works for them.

Our personalized beauty space is filled with beauty products, in-depth match and ingredient analysis, toxicity assessments, guides, and trends that match the consumer’s hair and face profiles - objective and science-based.

The first version of the Compar mobile app is live and loved in 148 countries - grown organically.

We are still a small team, meaning you will get to work directly with our founder, Thea. You will gain direct insight into how the business works and what makes it successful. Our office is located in central Copenhagen, making it easily accessible and surrounded by beautiful buildings and cafés. We also offer a flexible working arrangement, but we do require you to work primarily from our office to collaborate directly with the team. Finally, you will be offered an opportunity to have a stake in the company (equity) and, in the future, a competitive salary. 

What is your role? 

As a Full-Stack Developer, you will continue developing the frontend and backend of our mobile application and future web version, and assist with our admin web application. You will start as a Founding Engineer and potentially morph into a CTO depending on the right candidate’s level of skill and experience.

Current Tech Stack: React Native, React.js, Typescript, Express.js, AWS, TypeOrm, PostgreSQL, Docker, Python

Who are you?

• You have mobile app development experience and are comfortable developing user-friendly cross-platform mobile apps

• Full-stack developer experience, with 2+ years of experience

• Experience with building secure, fast, large, and scalable RDBMS

• Experience with software development projects and frameworks like Scrum

• Attention to detail, quality, testing, and obsession with pixel perfection

• You speak and write fluent English (and/or Danish) 

• You live in Denmark 

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, etc. 

Required skills

• React Native / React.js

• Typescript

• Docker

• Relational databases and CRUD operations, preferably experience with AWS

• Understanding of UX design principles

• GitHub

Bonus skills

• TypeOrm, Express.js, Python

• Web scraping
